There are NOT a lot of passengers milling around the Greensboro airport at 5:00 am. BOY did that 3:45 am alarm come as a rude awakening!
But I was up, in the shower, dressed, and ready to head out the door at 4:15am.
VERMONT!!
This is my very first trip to Vermont and I’m really excited.
When I hear the words VERMONT – I think about movie classics like White Christmas – or ---The Bob Newhart Show.
“Hi. I’m Larry. This is my brother, Darrell, and my other brother Darrell.”

Hexies are ready to go…..it doesn’t look like much but this is how far I’ve come on the last fill in corner for my hexagon medallion.
It’s almost time to board, so I better send this on -- First stop - Newark, NJ - then on to Burlington, VT!
Happy Wednesday, everyone!
Safe trip, Bonnie. Have fun!

Have fun! We plan to go in September and I really want to see Jane Stickles quilt, which is on display only during Sept & Oct. Too bad you can't see it while you're there.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful time!I can't wait to get String Fling!
ReplyDeleteBonnie you will definitely love Vermont--we go there at least once a year and when you cross the border, it seems like all the stress comes off of your shoulders. It is indeed a beautiful state.
ReplyDeleteHave fun there!

Putting the borders on my Blue Ridge Beauty from the Carlisle, Pa class. It would be great to do a string next (on my bucket list). Sue in Pa
ReplyDeleteYou will fall in love with Vermont. I used to go back east every year and become a leaf peeper but haven't been able to go for the last three and miss it soooo much! Dodi was right, the stress just falls away. Lake Champlain is beautiful, downtown Burlington is great and don't forget to pick up some maple syrup from Dankin Farms. They have a location in South Burlington. Enjoy and take tons of pictures so we can experience Vertmont vicariously thru you.
ReplyDeleteHave fun! Watch out for Moose :o) It is lovely up there this time of year.
ReplyDeleteI hope you get to see a little of it and not have to work the whole time. You'll be in Essex Junction which is a nice little town but not exactly in the mountains like the Bob N. show.
ReplyDeleteIt is a lovely place to visit and mostly I've done it on motorcycle since it is only a short ride from Pokeytown.
Have a good show and Happy Sewing,
your hexies are looking amazing! It is so
beautiful in person :0)
*Pat on the back* Good job on that early morning rising and getting going with a cheerful attitude. I have never been to the entire northeast, unless you count NYC (which I don't) so I am looking forward to your posts about the area. Enjoy!
ReplyDeletehave fun!
ReplyDeleteWe honeymooned in Vermont and New Hampshire 47.5 years ago. | loved it then and I am sure you will love it too.
