Brown Bird Bee Beauties!

Good morning, Quiltvillians!

Just take a look at these completed Charm Pack Challenge quilt top finishes!

All started on retreat - and all hanging over the porch rail in yesterday's abundant October sunshine -

What a fun way to sew together!

If you and your group want to do this challenge, or if you simply have a charm pack you are wanting to put to good (and fun!) use - Download free PDF pattern sheet HERE.

The wind was a bit wafty - but how fun are these?

Great job, ladies!

Some in sun, some in shadow, but all lovely!

Well done!

And there were other over-the-porch-rail beauties to behold, too!

Virginia Bound from Scraps & Shirttails in autumn colors and an Old Town in lovely reproduction fabrics.

Indigo Way and Smith Mountain Morning from Scraps & Shirttails II!

I love the cardinal finish!  The log cabin is in progress, and the Peter Rabbit quilt is for a beloved grandchild.

There were a couple more inside show & shares that didn't make it over the porch rail -

Tumalo Trail from Scraps & Shirttails II.

I don't remember the name of this holiday quilt - please leave the info in the comments below if you know.

As you can tell by the clips at the bottom, binding is in progress - just in time for the holidays ahead!

And this deserves an honorable mention!

Grassy Creek is coming together!

I love seeing past mysteries getting a big push - it must mean that there is another Quiltville Winter Mystery coming just around the corner.....

It's been such a wonderful week with the Brown Bird Bee ladies!

Take care and we'll see you back next year!

So today is the day.  As I am typing this Jason and Dave are already at the hospital beginning check in.

To say it was a sleepless night is an understatement.

I gave up and this morning I have already cleaned out and reorganized four kitchen drawers.

Dave won't be able to find anything when he gets home.

But that's just what I need to be doing.

I also cleaned up and reorganized my hand stitching corner near my comfy spot.

It's just what we do, isn't it?

Once the bathrooms have been scrubbed and everything has been dusted, vacuumed, mopped - we start attacking small corners and things within things.

You guys know all about the Lahinch Gift-Away post.  If you missed it, click back and enter - all of the details are there.

Found in my Facebook memories this morning-

This made me laugh out loud as a couple of years ago I was joking about this quote with Jason when he was going through a kidney stone issue at the ER.

Today I am changing this quote to say this too shall pass, much like a brain tumor, but it will pass.

We will get through this. Today Jason is in the hands of his neurosurgeon and team and we are praying for the best outcome for our son.

Thank you so much for all of your well wishes, prayers, positive thoughts and good juju going out into the universe.

We value your love, friendship and support so much.

Prayers for Jason and all of you. I clean too when I am upset. I guess it helps us feel in control of something.

Oh Bonnie, I thought of you last evening and thought hmm wonder if she'll get any sleep... That answers that. You were also first thing on my mind this morning when I woke up. I'm only one small indication of how many people are thinking of you today especially. Hope you can feel the love and concern for your whole family. Also hoping to get a positive update as soon as you get some good news! Time to have that and to knock off the housecleaning, go back to carefree ways, if you know what I mean! Stress-cleaning is no fun. I did the same thing with outdoor work when my husband developed a medical problem earlier this year. Those poor over-trimmed bushes I madly and heavily whacked at are still trying to forgive me! So I get ya. Fingers crossed!

    Good morning Bonnie.
I know you are on pins and needles waiting for news on Jason's surgery. The Great Physician is guiding the surgeons and Jason is in very good hands.
Please let us know when you hear some news. We, too, will be on pins and needles for the outcome.
Praying the surgeons get every part of the alien in Jason's head.
Stay strong Bonnie, Dave, Jason, and Jeff. Jason is going to be just fine.
    God bless you all Bonnie.

  38. Beautiful group and quilts, can't wait to see what they come up with next year ;) I loved your quote today, means so much to so many of us. Because of your recent posts I made myself face something yesterday that I have been putting off for years, my heart was beating so fast, getting all my bottom teeth removed and replaced. Plan worked, piece of cake! Also, I was shopping at my local grocery store and it seemed like EVERYONE WAS SMILING. Was it the march?? I hope so. Anyway, Bonnie, hugs and good vibrations to you, thank you. Had to save todays quote, perfect!!

  40. It's mid-afternoon and I'm just getting to my emails. I just wanted to let you know that I've been thinking of Jason all day. **hugs and prayers**
The holiday quilt you asked if anyone knew the name of looks like one that I made from a Missouri Star Quilt Company pattern called "54-40 or Fight Freestyle." This pattern uses 10" layer cake squares.

  43. Was super glad to read the update on Jeff from Facebook. I know that will help you sleep much more easily.

The unnamed quilt looks like a "54-40 or Fight". Missouri Star did a freestyle version of it (that one looks very similar). I have fabrics pulled for it, but it still hasn't gotten onto my "Let's start this!" list yet.

I can't imagine what you are going through but I woke up and prayed for Jason first thing today knowing today was his surgery. I hope as I write this at 8PM you have gotten some good news about his procedure and he is resting comfortably in the loving hands of the ICU nurses ( my old job ). Prayers for you as you wait and pray.
