Things that come in Threes, Fours or Fives?

This picture is here to remind me that no matter the problem, there are always ALWAYS helpers.

This was my view on Saturday morning as I descended the drive showing just what my neighbors had cleared away from the downed tree that smashed the gate on Friday afternoon.

I couldn't fully see it in the dark as I returned from dinner - it certainly wasn't light enough to stop and get a photo then, but on Saturday morning I could.

Good neighbors.

And Saturday afternoon when I was returning home from the retreat, they were there chopping up the logs into future firewood and filling the bed of their pickup truck.

I got my drive cleared so I could get up to my home, and they have a load of firewood to keep them warm this winter.

Much quilting has been happening with the October Quiltvillians!

Nola is coloring her Scrappy Mountain Majesties (Free Patterns tab) with a garden below and the mountains above - it's still in progress and I can't wait to see it completed!

This fun and bright project is called Diamond Trip:

I believe the strips are Jelly Roll friendly.

A special project for a policeman is in progress here!

This Pink Tulip quilt is just getting started!

Oh fun!  Another quick jelly roll friendly -

If you know the info on this one, please put it in the comments below.

Quick piecing of fabrics acquired on an Alaskan adventure!

Isn't this going to be fun?

Tada!

There is much scrap happiness everywhere!

This looks great!

And sampler blocks are up on the design walls -

Cute little Primitive Gatherings triangle blocks.

100 different blocks from triangles in one cute little volume!

I did get my Four Patch Fun top completed.  I even pieced a scrappy backing:

So much murky pink going bye bye!

I even got the quilting started on Saturday - and then the tablet was having issues staying connected to the motors yesterday and I gave up.

I have calls in to support.  I have things to try today.  If it's not one thing it's another.

But after everything we went through the past week with Jason's brain surgery and then the tree falling on the gate - I'm not letting this phase me. It's got to be something simple, something fixable.

So I will go through the steps today to determine what it is...and we will go from there.

Oh, and the sound bar for the TV in the living room died last night.  Like totally dead.  As in won't turn on not only from the remote (yes, I replaced the batteries!) but also by simply pushing the buttons on the back of the sound bar. It's dead. Totally.  So....

I think that brings me up to 4 stressors in a short span.  Can we stop counting now?

And with that, let's do something FUN:

It's drawing time!

I'll be drawing for two winners who will each receive a  Lahinch PDF pattern from me AND:

Quiltville Quote of the Day -

Today is for creating! I've had "Stress on the Brain Syndrome" with all that is happening. Both over things that I can and cannot control. Holiday ramp up included!
Today I am shelving everything stress related, calling it an extended weekend and deep diving into to some scrappy piecing.

Have a marvelous Monday, everyone!

Bonnie, I love when you share what the folks are creating. I worked on this year's leader ender for a bit last night and am loving how they are going together.
As for the soundbar, if it's plugged into a separate outlet than the tv, check that the outlet hasn't tripped. Sometimes, I will be sitting in my living room and haven't touched a thing and the outlet will trip. I have had it checked but they don't find a problem and all my electrical was replaced 9 years ago.
So thankful for great neighbors. I thought I had the best but I think yours and mine are related.
Hoping the problem with the quilting machine is just minor and you are up and running again soon.
    Hugs from sunny Illinois.
