Hanging with The Sewciologists!

This is the kind of activity you will find at Quiltville Inn this week.

Every station is busy, projects are being started, finished and some even simply needing a binding finish with feet up in a comfy chair in the Hen Den - 

Or even out on the porch as yesterday was a wonderful 70 degrees with barely a breeze.

In fact, I think it is likely the last "dinner on the porch" event for the year as temps look like they are going to go steadily down hill after this weekend is past.

It's okay!  We'll take it!

I had a wonderful time visiting with everyone and making the rounds from table to table.

Irene and Sherry are determined to make more progress on their Scrap Crystals quilts rom MORE Adventures With Leaders & Enders.  I love these blocks made from simple units!

I love how that pieced inner border completes the churn dash variation blocks at the edge.  Without that border you'd have 2/3 of a churn dash there. This rocks it!

Which leads me into some Spooky Fun of my own:

This two block quilt uses easy piecing techniques.  I used the Essential Triangle Tool for the half-square triangle and hourglass units in the quilt, but traditional rotary cutting methods are also given for your convenience and method choice.

Now I just have to go find the quilt in the upstairs quilt vault (Bedroom closet) and get it out so I can hang it in the foyer at Quiltville Inn!

And then there were 20 (brown ones)

I found I didn't have as many brown plaids as I thought - so I mixed in more old-fashioned looking prints to extend what I did have.

I'm now back to working on the blue ones - there is NO shortage in blue plaids.  And on we go.
