Texas Braids–All Day Long!

Growing, growing growing -

Keeps those braids a growing -

Quilt On!

(To the tune of RAWHIDE! LOL!)

We finished up the Minnesota Quilt Show 2019 with an easy round of Texas Braids from my book Adventures with Leaders & Enders – and there was not a triangle in the bunch to slow us down this day!

The planning committee couldn’t have nailed it better – our 4th full day of scrappy fun – no specialty rulers or triangles required – and it was a good thing.  Quite a few of these folks had been working the show all week – hanging quilts, helping with registration – we were all nearly running on empty -

What this class gave us was TIME!  Time to put the pieces easily through the machine  Time to talk to our neighbors and not have to work so hard – just time to sew up the scraps and talk about the other quilts they were left from – time for trading some really fun stuff with the others in class and sew it all up -

Time to wander and view all of the color plans!

Time to watch them grow rapidly with each addition!

Time to just BE a quilter!

They were all turning out so great!

And I love it when friends drop by to say hi!

Cathy was visiting from the Chicago area, having come up with a group of friends just to see the show and have some fun.  Usually she is helping with vendors.  This weekend she just got to be CATHY!  And I was so happy to be able to chat a bit and give her a hug -  And check this out:

This friend is AMAZING!

She printed the family lake photo from last Sunday (A week ago already!) and framed it for me – already having the perfect frame on hand.  I am SO excited and touched by this gift.  Thanks, Cathy!

And the braids go on!

What a super day!

We covered the floor!

And the rest of our day’s fun:

I'm scrambling to get this out before boarding my flight in Rochester for Atlanta - one short flight from Atlanta to Greensboro will have me feet on the ground in Greensboro by noon.

Quiltville Quote of the Day:

Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there! Whether biological or adoptive - this day is for you!

For those remembering Dads no longer with us, May your sweetest memories fill your heart as you hold him close in that way today.

It’s been a great 11 days in Minnesota, but this girl is ready to GO HOME!

Have a wonderful Sunday, everyone!
