While Quilt-Cam was a bust due to no audio tonight, we still have a Quiltmaker Giveaway going on!
When I arrived home on Tuesday night, there was a HUGE pile of mail to go through and in amongst the envelopes, mailers and boxes were my sample copies of the September/October issue of Quiltmaker! One for me to keep, and a spare to give away to one of our lucky readers.
In it I found ALL kinds of autumn pleasure. Could it be that cooler temps are just around the corner?
I certainly hope so. Here in North Carolina the car thermometer said 103 as I was out running errands.
That is way to hot for ANYONE in their right mind, and I’ve been holing up in the basement with some pattern writing in an attempt to stay cool!
Take a look at what you’ll find inside this issue:
Sew Much Quilty Goodness!
My favorite?
Carolyn Beam’s Going Batty in Halloween fabrics!
Four in Nine
My Addicted to Scraps block!
I love this one! I can’t wait to dig right in and get busy with these! Of course, I love them all - they ALL need to become real quilts at some point, don't they?
Ready to Enter?
I’m sweetening this pot with the addition of 100 blocks vol 13, a spool of Isacore thread for machine quilting, some fun grape cluster buttons, a “Keep Calm and Turn the Block Around” fridge magnet, a quilty nail file AND..a deck of my Bonnie Hunter Playing Cards!
I’ve also added the cards to the NEW!! section of the Quiltville Store. $5.00 a pack! How fun is this going to be?
Our drawing will happen the evening of August 2nd! Good luck, everyone!
Tonight! Adding some corners!
I’m behind on some deadlines so I have these going, and I’m also working on our new Leader & Ender project, Hourglasses! They are easier than you think, so click the arrow below and sew along!
Second Try, Sound Died!
Okay, sorry...there is NO SOUND tonight, it was working fine and died. It's a youtube thing, a hangouts thing, has nothing to do with me, I'm calling it quits tonight.
We'll try again next week. I am so bummed! I hope you still have time to sew something without me!
Working on 4-patches for a kid quilt challenge at my quilt guild.

ReplyDeleteWhat a shame. 😔
ReplyDeleteWhat a bummer, after all your work all day. Then sitting down to relax with us at quiltcam. Well enjoy sewing on your project and I guess we will see it later. thank and until next time!
ReplyDeleteSorry about quilt am- thought I had missed it. Was at the Syracuse AQS show all day!
ReplyDeleteSorry that you can't get the sound to work .........I was having a terrible time just getting my iPad to open up the Quilt Cam feed.......ugh!!! Sometimes my iPad will play nice and many times it will not. So, I am not the only one with "technology" problems tonight. Too bad, because I certainly would enjoy an hour or so of "Quilt Cam Live" Oh, well......maybe another day.
ReplyDeleteSorry for the glitch--hope your eye appointment went well.
ReplyDeleteGremlins can sneak in whenever they like. Hope it and all else gets fixed very soon . Not sure about the give-away to us down here in NZ, but I did do a link, a very generous lot of goodies.
ReplyDeleteCute little green machine. Reminds me that I need to pull out my new (to me) green Singer 185 and clean it up.
ReplyDeletePlease repeat your explanation about the ruler next quilt cam. I tried to read your lips but I am not very good at it! Enjoy the cabin this weekend. Thanks for all you do for the quilters of the world.
ReplyDeleteIt's the week-end...... sew
ReplyDeleteOh dear... I finally had the time to watch QUiltCam and find out that technical difficulties wrecked it. Boo.
