This is how we enjoyed sunshine and 75 degrees during our lunch break!
You know the proverbial cat who loves to curl up in the sunny spot and just bask in it?
That was us as we sat on the ample screen porch outside of the Bunkhouse in Quitman Texas where our workshops were being held!
we had a wonderful morning of sewing up the scraps, and took a much deserved break just enjoying the sunshine and gentle breezes.
Our conversations? Still quilt related, of course!
Midnight Flight is found in my book MORE Adventures with Leaders & Enders, and really does lend itself nicely to a Leader & Ender project –many many little four patches that can sit next to your machine as units ready to be sewn while working on other things!
This quilt also includes half square triangles, easily cut in already matched pairs with specialty rulers, making these units also very handy for Leader & Ender-ing!
And those stitch & flip corner units? They also make a great Leader & Ender project, and if you stitch a second seam on your cut off corners, you are building units for a future project out of the left over bits as you go!
Slicing and dicing, ladies!
four patches cut in already matched pairs!
Chain, chain, chain!
Spin those seams to encourage nesting!
One of these blocks is not like the others!
Time to turn those black triangles around to they hit the star blades! Are we happy that we brought seam rippers? YES!! ((The one on the left is correct!))
Hold em up, girls!
Fabulous day!
There is more to see, so pour yourself a cuppa, and enjoy!

Midnight Flight! Sitchin' Heaven, TX 2016 |
Quiltville Quote of the Day!
Some people create their own storms and then get upset when it rains, blaming their weather on others. We are what we create!
Are you the heroine of your own life, or the victim? I choose heroine!

I’m off to Alabama today, flying from Dallas to Atlanta, and on to Pensacola where I will catch a shuttle to Gulf Shores, Alabama. It’s going to be a long travel day, but hexies are at the ready and I am looking forward to another quilty adventure with the Island Quilt Guild!
Have you added your Allietare Progress to yesterday’s Mystery Monday Link-up? It’s the last one we are doing for Allietare! Find that post HERE.
