The only thing I can say about yesterday's foray back to Boone to visit the dermatologist is that it's done.
Well, maybe it's done.
That is...he froze the barnacle on my forehead (That should take care of it) but found a suspicious mole at the back of my knee which he promptly circled with his black Sharpie, mentioned to his assistant to come take a photo and said "This needs to come off."
A little "bee sting" to numb the area and before I knew it he had removed it, cauterized the area, applied neosporin and a bandaid and I was told "All done."
And now we wait.
We wait for the biopsy which will hopefully tell me it was either benign and/or they got it all.
It's the waiting game that is the hardest, isn't it?
I rewarded my good behavior with lunch out and a thrift shop wander.
I came home with this back and decker ceramic plate iron for only $5.00.
I thought it was a score...but I really didn't look it over before I snatched it up.
After getting it back to the inn and plugging it in I marvelled that there was no temperature selector.
Do they make irons with no temperature selector?
Evidently I couldn't see well enough to read the circles on the side.
ONE TEMP IRON!?!
Who does this?
Google away.
Of course, there was no box or instruction manual - but if it only has one temperature - why do we need instructions? LOL!
Okay. Whatever.
It was only fiec bucks, so we aren't out anything. It was cheaper than a cup of coffee at this point.
So far the ladies are liking it. Except for that auto shut off thing. But again. Whatever.
The previous iron had a teflon soleplate and it was starting to peel and leave marks. It had to go.
Tonni's projects on the design wall!
And on the wall opposite!
This looks like St. Paddy's day to me.
We could also call this a "Study in green" day because there is more green happening in Charlotte's corner.
Taking the victory lap!
I'm looking forward to our first "over-the-porch-rail" photo op of the year likely happening tomorrow afternoon as Monday is supposed to be rainy. We'll see.
Today - Maybe TODAY I'll get to sew as the last two "fun to Boone" days haven't left me with machine time at all.
What's up for your weekend?
It's also my Grannie's birthday today and I'm missing her greatly. She's been on my heart all week.

If you've got fabric still in shopping bags you haven't put away yet - this moment of silence is for you!
We completely understand!
We completely understand!
Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!
