This is what I walked into yesterday after returning to Quiltville Inn from....
Well, my totally unnecessary drive to Boone BECAUSE - when I got there, I found they had tried to call me when I was in Australia, and of course that didn't go through because I was only connected when I had wifi at the hotel.
If I was out and about, forget it.
Anyway - they rescheduled me for next month and so I ran a couple of errands and came home.
Giant tumblers for the win!
More 16 patch blocks to be laid on the front foyer design floor -
This is becoming a table runner for a very long table -
And there will be more to show as the days go on - The February Quiltvillians are in full production mode and there are yummy smells coming from the kitchen as well.
Check out this sweet face!
One of our excursions on Philip Island out of Melbourne was to visit the Koala Conservation Reserve.
It was also about 100 degrees in the shade -
I grew up in California and the smell of eucalyptus trees is buried in my childhood memories and one I instantly recognize. Best smell ever - especially after a rain storm.
It was wonderful to walk along these boardwalks at "Koala level" in serach of sleeping bundles in the tress.
This was just marvelous!
This happened - did you see it?
If you haven't started your Old Town yet - did you enter?
This time I even included the paint chips in the pattern. It's ALL in there, even the printable paper piecing templates for the square-in-a-square star block centers, and the small flying geese for the pieced sashings.
And YES - there is introductory pricing for those who have been waiting to start their own Old Town when it was released in pattern format.
The price is already marked 25% off and is good through 2/17/25 at 11:30pm Eastern time. No coupon needed.
International customers: Please DO NOT USE THE BUY NOW BUTTON. It uses autofill to put in your mailing address. This causes a problem with international folks as I do not ship physical items internationally.
Instead - place the pattern in your shopping cart, and go to the cart directly to choose your payment option (Which does not use autofill) Things should work fine for you this way. You do not need a physical mailing address to receive a PDF file. Just your email.

Do pink ear tags mean they are girls?
Hello, up there!
Remembering when -
I was in Junior High and High School in the late 1970s, and the girls were OBSESSED with these clip on koala bears!
If you didn't have one clipped to your clothing or in your hair, you were a nobody!
I remember having one clipped to the handles of my purse. I wonder whatever happened to it?
If the gift shop carried them, I would have brought one (or more) home with me. Good memories.
So today - return trip to Boon to the dermatologist.
Thankfully it's a morning appointment and I'll be back to the inn just past lunch tine.
What's going on in your world?
You can also enter the Gift-Away on THAT POST.
It's Friday!

I had a clip on koala! Good times. Carolyn W.
ReplyDeleteOh, man, so frustrating to make that drive for nothing. I guess the person you spoke with when you tried to move the appointment to Friday wasn't aware your appointment had to be rescheduled? I hope it was at least as pretty a day as we had here in Phoenix. Morning appointments are best, aren't they, so you can get on with the rest of your day.
ReplyDeleteSewing a quilt with my daughter later today. Just love it. Headed to exercise first. Finally got motivated for that. It will be a great day.
ReplyDeletemy daughter had one of those little stuffed koalas when she was a baby, a gift from some entertainers who traveled there...great photos
