Hanging With The Richmond Express Gals!

Things are feeling festive with the Richmond Express group in residence at Quiltville Inn!

I love St. Paddy's day - fun d├ęcor, the feeling of spring within reach - wearing of a bit of green (or orange if that is your side of the family)

It's fun times with no hassle - bring it on!

We have intermittently iffy weather going on all through the weekend so we took some time yesterday afternoon - our "nicest" forecast for their whole stay to take a long hike up Roundhouse Road.

I was so glad to have 4 others in tow, bringing our walking group up to 5 including me!

Yes, there are still icicles where the "Sun Don't Shine!"

All the way up to say hello to the McMillians!

It's been more than a year since I've been up here.

That sunshine sure feels good!

And the panoramic view can't be beat.

On our way back down - stretching our legs so we can get back and sew!

Gotta take a photo op at the state line!

And pretty proud of ourselves for getting out of our chairs!

Lazy Susans presented by group leader Anne!

Some were cozy in the Hen Den upon our return -

Am invitation to come enjoy the porch while the sun was still warm was welcomed - It felt so good to sit and enjoy the warmth for a bit!  Before I knew it, it was 5pm and I needed to head home to celebrate The Hubster's birthday -

My St. Paddy's Day job ahead -

All of the pattern details and particulars are there -

Stash Enhancement at Cotton to Quilts!

The folks at  Cotton to Quilts have been busy at work getting fabric rolls and even yardage ready for you!

Facets of Blue color rolls will add some pizzazz to your blue scraps on hand, and of course their Notable Neutral rolls just can't be beat for the fun prints your quilts long for.

New this time around - they've got Bella Solids in both Chartreuse and Key Lime if you want to go a bit brighter. You can purchase a 3 yard cut on the website, or they will cut by-the-yard for you if desired.

And we are going to be giving a way two of these rolls!

I'll be drawing for two winners who will each receive a New River Star PDF pattern from me and a Facets of Blue color roll from Cotton to Quilts!

(Winner must have fabric prize shipped to a USA address.  If you are outside of the USA, we can send to a friend within the USA who can forward the prize on to you.)

So go get that entry in!
