Hey all!
We arrived up at the cabin about an hour ago, unloaded the groceries, took Sadie for a short walk-
It’s North Carolina in July, so the temps are up there on the scale, but it was so wonderful to watch the thermostadt drop 9 degrees from the time we left Wilkesboro, and made it up the mountain to the cabin.
9 degrees is a huge amount in the summer heat, and I’ll take it!
While sweet potatoes bake in the oven to go with our grilled salmon dinner – I thought I would do our little Quilty Box give-away.
I am ASTOUNDED at how many of you just want your Quilty little hands on this lovely little box!
1652 of you left comments, hopefully ALL of you also left email addresses so you can win!
Let’s fire up that random number generator:
Who IS #396??
Miss Dianne Pansing, come on down!!
And thank you for making it easy on me and leaving that address!
All of these goodies will be coming your way!

Make more quilts, cover kids with love. It’s all good!
My view off the front porch this evening!
You’ll find me here a LOT this weekend. It’s a weekend for slowing down and enjoying the sights and sounds of the mountain while easily stitching a couple of bindings that need to be finished before next Saturday when I ship everything to Colorado.
I can do this. It’s away from the computer, it’s away from the stress, it’s easy simple stitching and we’ve got plenty of good food to consume as well!
There will likely be at least ONE motorcycle ride out onto the Blue Ridge Parkway – I’m thinking that’s perfect for a Sunday Evening break.
I am squeezing every last bit of enjoyment out of July as I can!
Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!
OH how fun are Give aways!!!!!!! Sure would love to win but know that a deserving person, me included, will win and be so very grateful.. Thanks for these give aways.

Enjoy your down time up on the mountain. I am catching up after a very busy spring season at our garden center. It feels so good to be back in front of my sewing machine. 😜
ReplyDeleteHi Bonnie,
ReplyDeleteI am interested in knowing what stitch you use to finish your binding. I hope you have the calm, relaxing weekend you deserve!
Janet
Love all you do for us Bonnie. Enjoy your few days of solitude after the week you've had. The Quilty boxes look like a fun thing. But I have one question, quilters read and follow directions when sewing so why can't they follow your simple directions when you have a give away. You so clearly asked that we leave a statement as to what we would do/ make with the contents of the box. While some did, about 75% didn't! Come on ladies, Bonnie takes her valuable time to do these things for us you can at least have the common courtesy to do as she asks. Over a thousand of you can post when a give away comes along, but where ate you the rest of the time?
ReplyDeleteSorry for the rant, but I just had to put in my two cents in defence of Bonnie. I don't know if it is bothering het, but it does me.
Quilty hugs to you, Bonnie.
Bonnie,
ReplyDeleteA nice heads up for you as you pack to come to Colorado, it is HOT here! We are having 95+ temps, and high humidity of about 30%, which is high for us!! I am sure the studio is nice and air conditioned, but take any walks early here too! Because, yes we tend to melt in the afternoon!
