What a homecoming!
I have been saving this post so that it starts as I arrive home from our Caribbean cruise.
The November/December 2016 Holiday issue of Quiltmaker Magazine is chock full of beautiful quilts and projects, including a bonus pack of 12 holiday blocks featured in the 100 blocks by 100 designers issues, destined to inspire you to pull out those red and green fabrics and sew yourself into a holiday frenzy.
What will you find inside the Novermber/December 2016 issue?
The cover alone sets my heart alight!
And the beautiful quilts inside – WOW!
The red and white quilts set my soul on fire!
Carolyn Beam’s Feathered star -- -
Scarlet Sparkle! How beautiful for a holiday bed!
My addicted to Scraps Column features Ladder Star!
Look what happens when you put them together with center chains touching!
Just a couple of the 12 bonus holiday blocks.
Including my block, Joyeaux!
This block was inspired by an antique quilt that hangs over the loft railing at the cabin. I have eliminated “y” seams and added in quick stitch and flip corners to make this block extra easy for you.
And what a give away bundle we have for one lucky winner!
In our drawing, our winner will receive the Nov/Dec 2016 issue of Quiltmaker complete with 12 bonus block patterns, a 2017 Quilt Art desk calendar, Shock Wave pattern, Dreams and Wishes pattern, and a “My Power Tool” Fridge magnet!
Who wants to win?
Good luck everyone!
Our drawing will happen Friday evening, October 14th.
And now that you have entered, remember that we have ANOTHER giveaway that is still in sign up status!
A New Spin on Drunkard’s Path!
The drawing for this wonderful book happens TOMORROW! You can read all about it on THAT POST and enter there.
All of the other participants in the tour are also hosting their own giveaways, so be sure to visit each site and enter there if they haven’t drawn already.
Good luck everyone!
Welcome home Bonnie. So happy you made it without any problems. Looking forward to the release of fabric info later this month for the fast approaching mystery quilt. What a busy time of year for you. Thank you for everything you do for us quilters. The mystery release is the highlight of my year. So in advance of all the craziness that is sure to come, a HUGE THANK YOU. Sending quilty hugs your way.
ReplyDeleteThanks Bonnie for your pics..I really enjoy traveling with you thru photos. Thanks for your time sending them. Love you for this.
ReplyDeleteThank you for this post. I love the feathered star quilt. I was thrilled to find that I could buy the magazine online as a digital download. I don't have a store in my area that carries it. I found a good sale on Kona cotton unfortunately they are out of the white but the red is on its way. I plan on making this for my grandson's wedding(which should be a few years away). If I start now I'll get it finished. Love that the quilting pattern is included though this will be sent out to be quilted. I just can't seem to get the hand of it and besides it would be a bit tough on my spartan handcrankd.

The feathered star is my favorite and it is beautiful in red and white. Must put that on my list which is growing longer day by day.
