I waved goodbye to the Mississippi Stitchers yesterday -
Actually I was waving from where I was seated at my desk writing yesterday's post because they left before I even got the blog out and could get there.
They had an extra long drive ahead of them, and just as required, I got a text about bed time that everyone had reached home safely. I'm so glad!
It was hot yesterday for the mountains, today is going to be hotter still.
Many of these quilts you've seen in progress all week - these ladies were dedicated and productive!
On the left is Connie's Ditch Lilies ready for binding! On the right is a block of the month from a quilt shop (I believe) I don't have info on the blocks, but she said she was only "Going as far as the background yardage would allow" and when she ran out, that's as big as the quilt was going to get!
Lupine & Laughter and a string top finish!
"Bluebells Sonnet" by Boundless fabrics and Triple Treat *Triple Threat* together as a top!
I love this log cabin variation making circles. Do you have pattern info? Please leave it in the comments below. It's followed by another Lupine & Laughter finish.
And another Lupine & Laughter followed by a star quilt - no info on this one. If you know, please leave it in the comments below. Thanks!
Two more finishes, drawing a blank on the names -
The one on the right was a pre-cut soda pop shop kind of theme. You can tell where my brain was with the pinched nerve neck/shoulder stuff going on this week.
Thanks for a wonderful week, ladies! We'll see you back next year!
I love all of the matching t-shirts for photo day!
Since it was Tuesday, most of my day was filled with flipping laundry - which is something I love. There is something so satisfactory about warm loads of towels and sheets fresh out o the dryer. It sets everything right in my world.
I had a bit of time so did sit down to sewing some more star blocks.
Too much red?
I don't think you can EVER have too much read. I like where these are going and I need more.
They remind me of little shooting fireworks. Appropriate.
I left mid-afternoon to pick up Dave and head to town for another chiropractor treatment. I love this place. I get three different kinds of therapy before the adjustment - roller table, E-stim, and ultrasound stim.
The assistant also gives a great massage with the bio-freeze when we are done. It's the combination of everything all together that is working for me.
This morning I have a deep tissue massage with a new person...trying to find the right one for neuromuscular work. I'm hopeful.
Not sure how much sewing will happen today - and that's okay. It's an unplugged kind of week ahead.
I know folks are asking about Leader & Ender challenge. I'll get to it within the next week. I've got samples made, I still need to do some step out photos and some alternate layout graphics. I hope you'll have fun with this one. It's coming. I just need a couple more days.
How are things shaping up for your holiday weekend ahead?
Quiltville Quote of the Day -
But at least it keeps me laughing.
This is also the vintage quilt that inspired my Sugar Grove quilt triangle obsession!
Have you made one?

The log cabin variation is Antelope Canyon by Laurie Shifrin Design. It's on my bucket list,
ReplyDeleteThe log cabin variation is Antelope Canyon by Laurie Shifrin Designs. I've got the pattern to try. It's also a beautiful place in Arizona I would love to visit!
ReplyDeleteSo glad there’s a little time to finish my 4 Path Fun cut blocks. It’s been so much fun! I love having fewer threads to trim.
ReplyDeleteHi Bonnie! The quilt in the 5th photo is Constance by Robin Pickens. It looks like she used one of Robin's fabric lines. It's lovely!
ReplyDeleteI would like to know the pattern of the star quilt on the 5th picture.
