What fun it was to walk out to the back porch yesterday morning and find folks in a mad game of left, right, center playing for Fat-Quarters!
First thing in the morning!
What a great way to enjoy the cool of the day surrounded by birdsong.
The stakes are high!
Roll, baby roll!
And who wins the pot??
All of this makes the discovery of triangles turned wrong bearable.
Why is it we don't notice things until we get up, walk away for a while, and come back? Do you see it?
Good thing the seam ripper was handy and things are now set right.
Beautiful appliqued Christmas stocking on the design wall.
Some woolly pincushions are underway here.
And there is always time for a bit of EPP stitching!
And just look at this over the porch rail display!
A plethora of runners and small trhings!
One block wonder and 2 completed Gravity sections
I love the greens in the crumb/crazy quilt!
There is some beautiful EPP hexie rosettes made on retreat, and a completed 3 yard quilt top!
Stars & More Stars!
Bricks and squares and One Block Wonders!
And this completion that didn't make it over the porch rail, but was oh, so close!
And just like that, our week draws to a close!
I love these faces!
Thanks for coming again ladies, it was wonderful to have you return. We'll see you back again next July!
This tour is full, but come join me on my trip back to Bavaria and Austria for the Christmas markets right after Thanksgiving!
We are also heading to Morocco in January and I can't wait!

This morning on the cabin porch in my hickory rocker with my favorite mug of coffee and an Ivy Lea in my lap,

Quiltville Quote of the Day -
My sewing life is a revolving door of mess it up, clean it up, mess it up, clean it up, mess it up, clean it up...
On repeat. Every. Day.
And this is not a complaint!
Have a terrific Tuesday, everyone!

Love that green quilt! Lots of pretties there. I never played that game. sounds like fun.
ReplyDeleteI'm still working on Poinsettia blocks...
Hot and humid here today.
Don't work too hard.
Have a Sparkling day
Blessings 🙏🌹
Oh Yes Triangles going awry means the froggier comes out. It's harder with tiny hsts. Beautiful display over the rails. Can hardly believe August is nearly here. My calendar is packed with Fairs, HS Reunion and vacation week with family. Sew on!
ReplyDeleteWe are in the process of moving - my sewing room is scattered between both houses! LOL
ReplyDeleteI took my machines to be serviced while I knew I wouldn't have time to use them! I am so ready to get everything set up and get back to creating something!
Bonnie after being a visitor I can only imagine the work it takes to keep the Inn up and as beautiful as it is....but the memories you enable for those who get there are abundant.....
ReplyDeleteLove that beautiful appliqued Christmas stocking, and all the many more beautiful quilts and projects! Great job Ladies!
ReplyDeleteSuch a perfect Quote of the Day, and "mess it up, clean it up, mess it up, clean it up" and repeat! Love it :-) Happy Tuesday, where in Kansas it's supposed to be 100F and I'll be inside sewing, Jenny
Sometimes walking away helps us with seeing things right or wrong. Great porch shot today!! I'm with you on that "Why is it August already?" LOL
ReplyDeleteThe first day back to work... so we have a little time to get back on routine. Hopefully this year goes better than last.
So good to see Miss Ivy Lea. Have a good evening & happy stitching! :-)
