Quilters Gotta Quilt!

This just takes ALL the cake!  I am dying of cuteness overload - is that a thing?

I walked into the Quilting Quarters yesterday morning and found Morning Glories being made in super-mini size - Oh my word.  SO CUTE!

My observation? The one downside with minis is that they don't use up enough fabric fast enough.  There aren't enough minis in the world to sew down my stash.  It's like trying to bail out a leaky boat with a leakier bucket.

But it is so much fun fun fun!

I love these blocks - I can't wait to see how far these get over the course of this retreat.

Grassy Creek is happening here.

Rick-Rack Nines from Adventures With Leaders & Enders is being laid out in the foyer.

Rhododendron Trail in blue is on the wall!

Some string piecing in greens will become Pine Tree Point in due time.

Two of the "same' quilts being made in two different color ways.

And a first retreat quilt top finish!

This came together quickly with the pieces being cut out of two layer cakes with the addition of solid white.

And this gets me all excited because I love Halloween!

Spider & The Fly is underway and just look at all of those fun Halloween fabrics! I'm especially in love with the spooky neutrals.

This bit of quilty Halloween decor is going to be drawn for and my name is also in the bucket!

It's battery operated, the lights shine red, and it says things like "I'm going to sew your heart out." Ahahahahaha!

I loved it so much (And doubt I'll ever win it anyway) that I purchased one.  I've also added it to the Quiltville Amazon Affiliate Store. You'll find it in the Sewing Machines category (LOL!) Direct link HERE.

Mine says it should be here by Monday - perfect.

Lunch inside with the pretty china -

Because it was a bit chilly on the porch.

Tula doesn't seem to mind...

The last of the blocks have been finished!

Now I get to start the job of laying them out and sewing them together.

It's going to be a pin-to-match job and it can't be avoided. Those triangle points MUST be matched.

I'll take my time with it - and it will take whatever time it takes.

Batting is on order.  Maybe I'll have it ready to quilt by next week this time?

You have made Starshine a hit! Thank you so much, everyone.  I can't wait to see your projects in progress and down the road - finishes.

Quiltville Quote of the Day -

And this is for us women-of-a-certain-age especially.
We've been living a long time. We've earned the right to be who we are, to wear what we want to wear without criticism from the younger generation.
You do you. I'll be me. Together we are we.
And we are a force to be reckoned with!
Happy Friday, everyone -

I work at a grocery store. The younger generation has no room to talk. They routinely come to the store in their pajamas.
