Happy Christmas Eve, Everyone!
Wherever you are, and however you are spending the holidays, may your corner of the world be lit by a little more hope, a little more joy, a little more patience and love for those we share this beautiful planet with.
You have enriched my life beyond measure – and I am so grateful for this time of year and our mystery quilt adventures that bring us closer together as we work to bring these clues to a fine and wonderful finish. Soon, my friends – so very soon!
Beautiful part 5 units by @Eonda !
Our shares today come from Instagram following our #goodfortunequilt and #quiltvillemystery hashtags. Such a WONDERFUL array of folks allowing us a peek at their progress through social media outlets.
I am dazzled by Eonda’s fabrics – mirror image pairs. Beautifully staged photo! (Mine are always pretty much a mess – )
@Casdoodle and her pup!
The dog looks like it wants to eat these units alive! LOL!
Well, they ARE delicious!
@runamok13 has switched up the colors, and these are LOVELY!
And her screen name made me giggle out loud. I just LOVE the names that people give themselves. I’ve had fun over the past several weeks dealing with people’s email addresses and tracking numbers and many of the email addresses are so clever and fun as well. Quilt speak at its best.
@lizzy1az You are SO WELCOME!
These are beautiful – and I recognize some of these prints!
@karens_photos is sharing parts 4 & 5 together!
And all the while The Hubster thinks that we designed this quilt just for him because of the Blue & Orange together – He is such a HUGE Boise State fan and alum. We’ll just let him think that, won’t we? I love seeing how the Part 5 units play with the Part 4 string units above.
Oh, yes – this is going to be SO MUCH FUN! Just wait for it -
Can you even see it there? I had to look twice!
I’ve heard from so many of you who worked with the Essential Triangle Tool last year, and this year were so happy to use it again, and again and again – it becomes second nature to use it for half-square and quarter-square triangles, doesn’t it! And for those newbies who were just introduced to it this year – you are going great guns!
I hope this tool stays close at hand through the coming year and you find yourself using it more and more and more wherever right angle triangles are needed.
If you didn’t get a chance to check back, you can find last week’s Mystery Monday Link-Up for Part 4 HERE.
Are you ready to share what YOU’VE been up to in regards to this year’s mystery?
We have many new folks with us this year, so if you’ve never done a link-up before, we will include some info so you can add your photo of your progress to the mix.
You’ll need either a blog, an instagram account, a Pinterest account, a Flickr account or a Google+ account. All of which are free, and a great way of journaling your progress on any project. ALL of these must be set to PUBLIC.
Please, no private accounts as no one will be able to see what you are sharing, so what’s the point? Links to private accounts will be deleted.
No matter where you are in your Good Fortune quilt you can share blocks, design wall photos, fabric choices, completed units with your dog, cat or grand-baby – just share!
Please do NOT post unit sizes or unit counts in your post. This is a mystery. The sizes and counts are plainly available in the mystery directions themselves. Folks can get them by coming to my directions.
Be sure when you are filling in your information in the Linky form below that you include a URL to your specific post or photo, not just your main blog or profile address. We need the address of the page where your photo and post is, not the whole account.

Last night’s view from my hoop -
I’ve moved up to the second row of fans. Woop woop!
So happy for some sewing time along with some working at Quiltville Inn time. we’ve discovered some moisture damage to the Post Office ceiling – more on that later.
Today the guys are going over to work on the new hearth for the wood stove (more on that later too!) and I may find myself pulling away from the sewing machine to go work with them – maybe finally get that second coat on the kitchen cabinets finished.
The togetherness time is the best gift I could ever ask for this year.
Quiltville Quote of the Day -
Wonder can always be found, wherever you search for it.
Have a wonderful Christmas Eve, everyone!
Merry Christmas, Bonnie!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas Bonnie and family!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas from the PNW. Have power back, others still without. Storms have been really bad. So far behind this year on my clues (and everything else). Love the mystery as a distraction. Today marks the anniversary of suddenly losing my dear mother. It's been exceptionally difficult this year, fabric therapy is such good therapy. Thank you Bonnie for all you do for the quilters of the world. God has truly given you a wonderful gift that you so freely share with others. May you be richly blessed. Take care and enjoy your family time!
ReplyDeleteThanks for all you do and help. Merry Christmas to you and your family
