Bawling My Eyes Out....
I just picked up Susan Boyle's album. The first track, Wild Horses, just opened flood gates!
I love this woman! She embodies everything I believe in and stand for. What a fabulous voice, what a wonderful story!
For those of us who have "Dreamed a Dream" and worked hard to get there, it's worth a listen!
I'm planning on getting step 4 for the mystery done tomorrow. That is if everything works out, I'm doing last go-through book edits at the same time trying to pull everything together there with my editor, the tech editor, myself, the graphic artist guy. Yes, I'm home....but I'm still working!
I leave Tues for AZ, so I hope step 5 will be ready on Monday before I go to bed. I return on Sunday, so there will likely be a week between step 5 and 6...

ReplyDeleteHow many steps are there in all to the chirstmas mystery quilt?
I bought her album and really enjoy listening to something so soft and beautiful. I am so glad she went on Idol and made her dream come true. She is a rare find - and we are so lucky to have been blessed by her gift.
ReplyDeleteYou have a full plate too!!! We are also very blessed to have you sharing your gifts with us. Bonnie, I love how you have changed my thinking on so many things with this (for me a hobby) quiting that I enjoy, I would never have thought of leaders/enders!! And what a fantastic idea that is!! I have been using is since I first heard of it, all those years ago now. Plus all the other things you have taught me. Thank You so much.
Enjoy your day, hope the editing and the whole process goes smoothly for you - and I really hope you take the time to just sit back and close your eyes, and listen to Susan sing.........
Thanks for the news of Susan's CD. I love her voice and spirit!
ReplyDeleteGive Oscar some head scratches for me :-)
I soooo agree. Her voice gives me tears too. Just as Judy Garland's can when I watch the Wizard of Oz. And the Celtic Women also stir my heart/soul.
ReplyDeleteI am loving your mystery so far. Thank you so much for sharing your design talent with we lowly quilters.
When I hear her sing "I Dreamed a Dream" I have the same problem. It's such a tear jerker.
ReplyDeleteThis is on my list to pick up on pay day. I'm glad to hear that the rest of it is good too! What an amazing story.
ReplyDeleteHave you read that Susan Boyle is the number one selling CD in the USA?
ReplyDeleteShe is breaking every record sale in history of sales!
I think because we all see ourselves in Susan. I say you go girl!!!
Hey when the clues come up we'll be ready......otherwise do whatcha gotta do :0).
Big Hugs and thanks Bonnie for all you give to us happy quilters.
Happy Sewing,
Kim
I saw her on the Today show singing Wild Horses. Isn't it amazing from frumpy to decked out and beautiful on the cover of the CD? Cheers!!!
ReplyDeleteBonnie,
ReplyDeleteI have Susan Boyle's CD on my wish list for Christmas, but I'm not sure I can wait that long! And I am not sure if I will ever forgive my English relations for not voting for her in the finals on Britain's Got Talent. LOL. So glad she's a HUGE success!
Definitely plan on creating my own "Carolina Christmas" quilt, but not now. I have ten items on the to do list for finishing prior to 12/24. Once those are out of the way, I will start. If I hadn't taken your classes in Indianapolis this summer I probably would not have the courage to work on "Carolina Christmas" or any other scrappy project. Thank you for opening up a whole new quilting world for me.
Hugs,
Cathy
I for one am just a little bit happy there will be a catch-up break on Carolina Christmas...step three is taking a bit of time here!
ReplyDeleteBonnie - I so appreciate these mystery quilts that you do for us on line. FOR FREE. I am sure that many, many of us appreciate all the hard work and effort that goes into these and all for our benefit. I would be embarrassed to complain about anything!! I do love your scrap system and started using it about a year ago. Unfortunately my stash grew by leaps and bounds when I started buying fat quarters to cut up for scraps. But who cares as long as I'm having fun, huh! Again - thank you¡ I can't wait for the new book to come out!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to get her cd. She has such a pretty voice. Love your mystery.
ReplyDeleteHer CD is on my Christmas list!
ReplyDeleteYep S.B is something isn't she! What talent! I will never forget how the judges were soooo blown away with her talent!!!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear your little 4 legged friend is doing better.
Try to enjoy the Christmas Season...
I just bought this CD and love it! She has such voice range.
