Quilting Into The Weekend!

This kind of chilly and blustery has everyone back to dining inside the house -

Come on, Porch Season - Where are you?

And It really doesn't matter as long as there are good friends, good food, good conversation happening all around.

Throughout the day some went to visit a quilt shop, some stayed in their jammies sewing, some of us even got out for a dirt road hike!

When it's your retreat you can do whatever you like however you like!

And of course we had to stop and take photos of the cows.

Back at the retreat there were pretty things in the making -

This is the one where you take a random four sided shape and sew strips around it of various sizes and square it down to some measurement - if you know where the tutorial is, please leave it in the comments below!

I put Flame Azalea up on the foyer wall for some spring appeal!

Usually these accidental photos tend to be of the ground or my feet. Hilarious.

Some On Ringo Lake blocks have found themselves in the center of a lap quilt with borders going round and round and round and round.

Meanwhile off the back porch -

And it's a miracle she hasn't knocked the bottles off the windowsill yet.

I'm thinking she needs a cat hammock here - she loves to watch out the window!

As to my own progress?

I'm about half-way.

Still lots more to make!

At the recommendation of my dad, I've been binging "Forsyte Saga" on Netflix.  The 2002 PBS version.

If you are a Downton Abbey fan, or any of the Jane Austen movies fan - check this one out!  It's a GREAT binge.  

There is also a 2026 remake coming on PBS, but this one is on Netflix and I wanted to watch it fist.

It's currently 28. with a projected high of only 47 today. Good thing we got our hike in yesterday. No hike today!
