They're Baaaaacccckkkk!
It's been a long two years.
Last February we had to postpone their retreat due to a really bad ice storm that rolled through on their week to be here.
February is always iffy, but it comes with the caveat (and understanding) of either full refund should weather shut us down, or just move their dates to the next year with one free night added in as interest paid!
And as I walked into the room, things were already exploding onto design walls -
This gorgeous batik on black is going to become a quilted coat. It's going to be gorgeous!
This fun block is from my quilt Carolina Christmas which was a way early Quiltville Winter Mystery and is now found in Scraps & Shirttails II.
I've always loved this block and I would like to play with it again!
These darling quilts are being machine quilted for placing over isolettes in the NICU. What a great way to brighten a scary place for babies and parents alike.
Check out this one blog wonder!
Love this! Two stars in one!
A Hunter's Star is growing on this design wall. Can't wait to see it done!
Little rows of scrappy possibilities make me so excited!
I know what this is, do you?
It's almost time for Tulip Time!
And that means daffodils are getting closer, too. In fact, I saw some little shoots sprouting up in the side yard at the inn! Spring eventually DOES come.
And so does mammogram time.
I had an afternoon appointment for my yearly mammogram. It's actually been delayed a couple of months due to travel, change of insurance, and weather. But I got in. And this was the display in the Mammography suite waiting room.
It gave me a good chuckle. Someone put a lot of work into this display to celebrate healthy boobs.
Have you had your mammo lately?
Are you dreaming of coming with me to Romania in June? June is stated to be the most beautiful month to visit. I can't wait.
We are into the last days of signups and registration will be closing soon.
We still have some spots available, and I was told that the cut off date for those who wish to join me is March 6th - so hurry! Get your reservation in NOW!
Find out more on my Craftours travel page.
I'm looking forward to making some travel memories together with you! Who knows? Romania just may be the inspiration for our NEXT Quiltville Winter Mystery!

Which one of these will you work on today?

Prayers for Tula, she has been through so much. You are a wonderful cat/dog mother always making sure they are loved and taken care of.
ReplyDeleteIt's too bad that display in the mammography office doesn't have a couple of small quilt blocks on it. Then you could say it was "foundation" pieced!
ReplyDeletePraying for Tula, and you as you care for all your fur babies. They are part of the family.
ReplyDeleteGood to know that you take care of yourself as much as you take care of those strays that keep showing up! I'm glad they were able to take care of Tula so soon. Hopefully she's going to be back to herself soon.
ReplyDeleteMiss Ivy wasn't about to let Hazel take all of the modeling shots on that new quilt, was she??! Glad to see she got some lap time as well.
It's Friday night in my neck of the woods. So glad this week is over. Have a good evening and happy quilting! :-)
What is name of star within star shown in this post? Also, so sorry baby is I'll. Vet trips are hard and them.
