Hi, Gang!
I'm home! I'm not sure what time zone I'm in, but I'm home!
What a whirlwind trip we had through Switzerland, France & Germany.
I loved every minute of it - but this getting home again is for the birds. Seriously!
We arrived at JFK NY at 8pm on Monday with an overnight stay before I could catch my two flights home yesterday.
It takes a long time to get your luggage (Even though Global Reentry is awesome and fast) and by the time we found the air train and got to where the hotel shuttle pick up was, waited for the shuttle, got to the hotel, waited in line to check in and got to our rooms....I was only going to have something like a 5 hour nap before having to get up to my alarm and head back to the airport.
Travel is SO glamorous, right? WRONG!
And the entirelty of this trip I was fighting with my phone - would it connect? Would it not? Mostly not, but sometimes yes - and I could post things to Facebook/Instragram.
So upon my arrival in Bristol yesterday, Hubster Dave marched me right down to Verizon (after lunch...I was starving) and I now have a new phone.
So yes - I'm doing all of that "have to log in with password" on every app, or verify with a number from a text kind of thing.
It will take a few days for all to be right again - but at least this thing now connects when it should.
After the phone switcheroo, we headed to for some groceries I knew I was going to need and then made the journey up the mountain to home.
Here's my drive - testing out the new phone camera. Leaves are beginning to turn!
And it just smells so good - I love autumn. It's what comes after it that I give the side-eye.
Did I stitch much on this trip? Well sort of!
I did a bunch of embroidery on a new stitchery project for my upcoming January trip to Morocco.
Only I am short one color of 12 wt thread, which has been ordered - it should be here in a few days and then I can finish that and start in on the borders.
I got this far on a hexie motif yesterday while winging my way from NY to ATL to Bristol...
I am one hexie short of a completion, but I just couldn't make my eyes see straight anymore.
Maybe tonight.
We saw so many things - there are so many photos to go through!
It was such a wonderful trip all the way around.
More to come on that.
This morning I spent some time uploading photos from Zurich and putting them in public albums.
I am thinking I can embed the albums here -
And this was just part of Day One!
I do believe you need a Facebook account to view this, correct me in the comments if I'm wrong, but but sure to read the other comments before you are duplicate posting what someone else has already said. Let's keep it simple. If the answer is already there, just nod and NOT POST "me too."
I'll get more posted as I can.
And don't you know while I was away - the Septermber Quiltvillians 2.0 were retreating up a storm?
They certianly did!
I'm so grateful that Hubster Dave and Son Jeff were on hand to handle anything that needed handling.
I am sorry to have missed these ladies - they left yesterday morning while I was on a plane from New York.
And today, the Shippenstitchers are arriving - we start our Sister's Choice workshop tomorrow!
Somehow I have a distinct feeling they'll find me sneaking naps up in bedroom 5 from time to time trying to get my body clock back to normal.
Oh, that body clock thing? I was asleep by 8pm - the longest I could go without falling over dead.
I did manage to put a load in the washer and get it into the dryer but that's as far as I could go.
I've been up simce 4am something. Sigh.
Did you see that this posted yesterday?
I am so excited about this one!

Quiltville Quote of the Day -
Did you ever consider any of this?
We wouldn't be where we are right now with the people we have in our lives- if we hadn't gone through each step of our journey along the way.
And the journey continues..
Have a wonderfu Wednesday, everyone!
