First Brunch, Then Quilting!

This was the scene when I walked through the front door of the inn yesterday -

Mmmm!  Something sure smelled good!

It was also just a wee bit chilly - in the 50's - meaning that brunch on the porch is now a thing of the past, at least until we reach next summer.  Sigh.

It's wonderful to see folks around the table in the dining room, but oh how I will miss porch season!

Look who else was home for brunch!

Flash decided that the porch was no longer a scary place since things were back to normal -

Still can't get any closer than 6 feet from him, but he is content enough to find a sunny spot to lay not far from Tula for an after brunch snooze.  He's home again.

Gorgeous things are going up on design walls!

Here is the progress on Moonflower from yesterday.

I had zero idea what this was on the design wall until I came through later -

Aha!  A Storm at Sea in red!

This will be cute!

Boot Scootin' Boogie happening here!

Gorgeous quilt top - ready for fall!

And she also made this bag yesterday - interior pockets and all!

Cute doggie panel!

I love the array of vinate machines -

And Sawtooth stars are always a pleaser.

Creativity is exploding everywhere -

And look at this painted 301!!!

Pearl pink with black accents?

I need my poodle skit and saddle shoes and a bit of Elvis on the stereo.

So fabulous!

More red white and blue happening here.

And something most stellar!

And yes - we did get that road hike in.

It was such a gorgeous morning.

This made my day!

Also things that made my day:

We made a 3pm appointment at Verizon in Boone to see what was going on with my phone.

It turns out my suspicions were correct.  My sim card was glitchy.  I had moved it from an older phone to this phone - so it was now over 4 years old at least.

Did you know they do an eSIM thing now?

An eSIM, or embedded SIM, is a digital SIM card that is embedded directly into a device's hardware, eliminating the need for a physical SIM card.

It functions like a traditional SIM, but instead of being a separate plastic card, it's a chip integrated into the device. This allows users to activate and manage cellular plans digitally, through software, without needing to physically swap SIM cards.

Anyway, my phone is fine. It's only 1 1/2 years old. It's got a lot of life left in it, and now that the glitchy old SIM is gone - I'm good to go.

I'm so happy I didn't have to deal with a new phone and the transfering over of all the things - trying to get all the apps reinstalled and signed into? What a pain that is.

Not to mention I've got 900 photos on my camera roll that are about to be gone through and separated into folders or just plain old deleted - I save that for long flights.  I'll arrive in NYC this evening with my phone gone through and more space made for more photos from this trip!
Okay folks  - I'm out of here.

I may catch you from NYC tomorrow morning before heading back to the airport.

To keep you busy while I'm away, I've put ALL PDF patterns in the Quiltville Store at 25% off through 9/21/25.

I won't be here to send out reminders - so now is the time to pick up the patterns you've been wanting to make!

International customers - do not use the Buy Now button as it uses auto-fill to put in your shipping address. You don't need a shipping address for digital patterns. Just an email.

Put the patterns into the shopping cart, then navigate to the cart to complete your purchase.

My bags are packed, hexies are at the ready - it's time to boogie on out of here.

Quiltville Quote of the Day -

Sister's Choice quuilt from the Free Patterns tab.

Even though I won't be blogging daily I'll still be posting our adventures to  InstagramFacebook and if there are videos I'll upload them to YouTube.  You can follow along there while I'm away.

Take care of each other -

Happy Friday!
