This happened Sunday afternoon!
We were getting set up to share the Stitch Mob's quilt tops and finished projects over the porch rail, and someone decided that she had to step up and step in and supervise the whole thing.
I love that Tula Talullah Lou throws herself into everything we are doing. So funny!
After drizzly rain all morning on Sunday, we finally ended up with enough blue sky and sunshine to get this done.
Check out this amrvelous display!
And red seemed to be a theme all through the retreat.
There is no beating red or a red/black/grey combo when it comes to quilting!
And we were so happy (and lucky!) to be able to celebrate Jessica's 70th birthday week with her. Her birthday is actually today - but when we make it this far, we get to celebrate the whole month, right?
Another red/black quilt in the beautiful pieced, quilted and bound log cabin star quilt made on retreat!
A Patches & Pinwheels finish! (Free Patterns tab.)
Grand Illusion and Easy Street from MORE Adventures With Leaders & Enders which will receive its borders upon returning home.
Jen is a powerhouse!
County Clare, Indigo Way, Scrapy Mountain Majesties and Strip Twist from the Free Patterns tab. Lovely!
and Unity.

And I love these shirts they came up with!
Aren't they marvelous?
Our time together flew by too quickly -
But I'll be seeing them back next year!
Yesterday in the studio - a continuation of what happened through the weekend.
I mentioned yesterday that son Jeff had brought grandson Casden over for a visit while he worked for a while.
There wasn't a lot that I could get to - so I began to whittle down this pile of blue discards from the use-it-up-until-it's-gone pile.
I took the biggest ruler I had at hand - 15 1/2'' - and began to cut the bigger pieces into squares.
And then I took the leavings and randomly sewed hunks and chunks together until I could trim THEM into 15 1/2'' squares.
Some of them are here on the rail of the long arm -
This is going to be the backing for Stardust, my recely finished blue string star quilt.
The pile is dimished. I'll be laying these out and sewing them together into a backing with the goal of getting this quilt in the long arm soon.
Those strips on the back rail are in the process of being sorted by size and color and will be added to the Scrap User's System in their new bins - I am SO happy with this whole redo updo!
There are more piles in the studio to be taken care of, more fabric to sort.
I am loving this hunka-chunka backing making and plan to do more of this on future quilts to see fabric used up.
And while the quilt is in the long arm - I can continue to make things better in my sewing space.
If we just make ONE THING better each day - it will get there. Small bintes, and baby steps, right?
And the thing I've learned about organizing - it doesn't work if things are not accessible. And the putting back and reorginizing is continual. It has to be if we are not to get too overwhelmed with it all and stop all together.
I am so thrilled with the response to the Abundance pattern release!
I can't wait to see these blocks popping up as you share what you are making.

I love this quote by Georgia O'Keeffe! I can so relate, can you?
I never felt like an artist, or that I could be considered an artist until I discovered quilting.
If only our quilts could talk!
Have a terrific Tuesday, everyone!
