In the Done Column!

Say Hello to BLOOM!

I was working on finishing up this little quilt before I headed to Arizona for a much awaited visit with my Dad and brother Scott.

This little quilt was designed and made with my Craftours travel in mind - and will be making its debut in January when we travel to Australia.

I am SO super excited!

Small projects are great for travel - and it's my hope that by the time we return home that folks will have their center embroidery done, and will be excited to get their patchwork borders on -

How did I celebrate this small win?  Click to Play!

For those heading to Australia with me - I've sent all the info on things you need to bring to the folks at Craftours, and they will be getting it to you soon. Be watching for that email, and be sure to OPEN IT!

Now that that is off my to-do list, I can get back to focusing on the BIGGIE for this week.

FRIDAY!!!  Part One of Old Town goes live THIS COMING FRIDAY - November 22nd.

It's a week earlier than normal, because we need extra time to fit in everything.

I hope this kicks off your holiday season in a happy positive way -

Are you ready? I've really been enjoying watching the fabric pull posts happening on our Quiltville’s Open Studio group on Facebook. So many different styles and color choices.  It's going to be amazing watching these quilts come together!

Almost There!

Here is an update on my red/white/blue star quilt made out of recycled shirts from the BACK -

That's all the area left to quilt - and it won't take more than a week.

It may be done BEFORE I leave for England on Black Friday -

From the front - Not far to go!

I love this quilt - it also has me thinking of my upcoming trip to England, and the colors of the Union Jack. And Australia - and the colors of their flag, called the Blue Ensign. And my friends in the Netherlands, and also France - and then I got curious. How many more?

Did you know?

American Samoa, Anguilla, Australia, Belize, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Cambodia, Cayman Islands, Chile, Cook Islands, Costa Rica, Croatia, Cuba, Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, Falkland Islands, Faroe Islands, Fiji, France, Iceland, Laos, Liberia, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Montserrat, Nepal, Netherlands, New Zealand, North Korea, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, Russia, Samoa, Serbia, Sint Maarten, Slovakia, Slovenia, Taiwan, Thailand, Turks and Caicos Islands, United Kingdom, United States and Wallis and Futuna are all countries with red, white, and blue flags.

I didn't know! But now I do.

And that made me happy thinking that others might make this quilt with thoughts of their own flag in mind.

As far as names go, I keep returning to the one I love most.  Parade Day. And I think I'm sticking with it.

Lola. doing her cat walk across the quilt -

And then the thought of....what will be in my hoop next?  I have nothing close enough in the works to take that spot right now.

So it will likely be a return to hexies to get that farther along.

I was thinking of the red/neutral tile floor inspired quilt that I started a few weeks ago.  But it's not close enough to being done. I've barely started.

This morning's sunrise.

What does Monday hold? The only thing on my to-do list really is to return a package to the UPS store in Galax.  But Galax also means a quilt shop in close proximity - so who knows.

There is more desk work to happen, and there is time for that.

Housekeeper Susan comes tomorrow and Wednesday to help me get the inn ready for the December Quiltvillians who will be retreating (With Hubster Dave being innkeeper) while I am in England.

We'll do all of the holiday finishing touches before Thanksgiving so I can leave on Black Friday knowing everything is just right.

I want to sew.  Maybe there is time for that, too?

Your excitement over Moonflower has blown my mind!  Thank you so much!

It was so fun to make, and I can just imagine it in so many different color plans -

I'll be drawing for 2 winners who will each receive a Moonflower PDF pattern from me, and a Moonflower cotton roll from  Cotton to Quilts.

And don't forget to check out their neutral rolls as well - I love the variety in these cotton rolls!

We'll be drawing for those winners on Monday, 11/25/24.

Get your entry in on the Gift-Away Post.

And yes, there is introductory pricing!

The PDF pattern for Moonflower is currently 25% off in the Quiltville Store, no coupon code needed.

Rulers, notions and tools are also 15% off using code NOTIONS at checkout to receive discount.

To use a coupon code - click REDEEM YOUR COUPON beneath the the total in the shopping cart. Enter the coupon code in the box that opens up. Click enter.

*NOTE* You need to put the code in BEFORE you click to your payment method for discount coupon to be applied.

International Customers Purchasing PDF Patterns: Do not use the BUY NOW button on the pattern page to check out with autofill. Place the item in your shopping cart and then go to the cart page to check out choosing either your credit card option or Paypal. Shipping addresses should not apply as this is a digital pattern purchase. I don't know why it works this way, but it does.

And since we are headed into the holidays (And holiday sewing as well!)

I've also placed a 25% discount on Pine Tree Point. Price good through 12/15/24.

This quilt reminds me of all of the Christmas Tree trucks I see daily - pulling their tree harvest up and down these mountain roads, eventually to wind up in people's homes to become Christmas memories.

If you have one started from last year - why not pull it out and get going on it again? It's the perfect time!

I think that covers it for this morning!

Quiltville Quote of the Day -

Okay, Monday! ⁣
What needed housework can we avoid today??
