Double Quilty Gift-Away!

Monday after Thanksgiving - and all weekend long I was a day or two off.

For the first time in what seems like forever, I had a full long holiday weekend of real relaxation and no worrying of what was to come next or things that had to be done, or people to be checked in on over that the inn.

It was truly wonderful and I hope you were able to do things like stay in your jammies a bit longer, enjoy that second leisurely cup of coffee, watch a bit of tv not worrying about deadlines - and of course stitch some on Part One of our Indigo Way Mystery.

Last week Kristie and Slade of  Sew Q Laser came by on their way home to Georgia from a trip Winston Salem and we enjoyed a few hours of chatting and catching up.

We hatched a plan to offer up two of their Sew Q Laser kits in a gift-away as well as offer a special discount code for those who want to order one!

Having the laser attachment on my machine has made all of my diagonal sewing a breeze.  And yes, you can set it for whatever seam allowance you want as well.

More information can be found on the Sew Q Laser website, and you can use coupon code Bonnie15 and save 15% through Wednesday 11/29/23. (That's this Wednesday, so hurry!)

Let's keep building up the holiday spirit and include IronEZ Gift-Away at the same time!

We haven't done this in a while, and when Scott, the CEO of IronEZ contacted me this past week - I replied with a resounding YES!

The adjustable clip can fit a multitude of thicknesses – this will even clamp to a table top, tray or big board.

It fits and corrals a multitude of favorite bottle sizes – and the free bottle that comes with it has even a finer mist than the traditional trigger spray on Best Press.

I am just this sold on the product, and the kind folks at IronEZ are offering a 15% discount to my readers using code BH15OFF – AND – we are drawing THREE winners!

No more knocking that spray bottle off of their ironing board ever again.

So what are we doing here?

Within the SAME Gift-Away, I'll be drawing for 2 winners who will receive the Sew Q Laser and 3 more winners who will each receive an  IronEZ bottle and bottle holder set.

I'll be drawing for the winners of all of this stuff on Monday 12/4/23.

Don't forget your coupon codes if purchasing - and remember that the sale on the Sew Q Laser  is only good through this coming Wednesday, 11/29/23.

Whew! That's a lot!  But also don't forget that this is going on:

Starting 11/23/23 and good through 11/28/23:  All digital patterns in the Quiltville Store and the Quiltville Etsy Pattern Shop are 30% off using coupon code DIGITAL30 at checkout.

Code MUST be used for discount to apply.

Where to find the spot to type in your code in the Quiltville Store Shopping Cart:

Click REDEEM YOUR COUPON beneath the total in the Quiltville Store shopping cart. Enter the coupon code in the box that opens up. Click enter.

To redeem a coupon code on Etsy:

Click Apply shop coupon codes in your Etsy Cart.

Type or paste the code into the box that opens up. Select Apply.

This is the last sale of 2023, and the largest percentage off in either the Quiltville Store or the Quiltville Etsy Pattern Shop .  It's a great time to pick up the patterns you've been wanting. Don't forget that DIGITAL30 coupon code for your discount to apply.

For those wanting to order the SewPad - they are sold out! So we are ending that sale right now.

I finished the hand quilting in the borders of my still as of yet un-named quilting project which means -

Because this quilt was basted by long arm (which really means it was quilted and I'm removing machine quilting as I'm putting hand quilting in.) I can start quilting at the edge of the quilt, working my way toward the center.

With the borders quilted, I can trim up the edges and get the binding on which makes for much nicer evening stitching without all of that batting and raw edges hanging out.

Soft pink-white-blue pin stripe going on as binding.

I'm already nearly half-way thanks to a long weekend of leisurely watching TV.

I'm still undecided as to what is going to happen in the center, but I am betting it's going to be free hand fans so I don't have to mark anything.

And here we go into Monday!  What do you have up on deck for today?

Quiltville Quote of the Day -

Struggles are all about growth.
Grow through what you go through!
Allietare was an earlier Quiltville Mystery and still one of my favorites (30% off using code DIGITAL30 - don't forget!!)

Have a great Monday, everyone!

Allietare was my first mystery quilt and my favorite as well!! I learned so much! Have participated every year since. I made it up in fall colors and now I feel a little sad to take it off my bed... But hey it's Christmas time and now I get to pull out Frolic made in Christmas fabrics! Thank you for all you do for us. Your generosity is inspiring!!

Bonnie bastes on her long arm. Sets up just like she was going too finish the quilt but with longer stitches with a lazy river kind of pattern to stabilize as much as possible with one pass

also using a high contrast, bright thread to baste with makes it much easier to remove.

  7. Dear Bonnie, After using a Janome DC2019 for over 4 years, I saw Bonnie's Blog where she purchased the new Juki, so I bought one too! I finally started my first quilt using the Juki, and what a difference in the accuracy of my piecing with the single hole stitch plate and the Juki 1/4 inch foot! I just purchased 2 of the Sew Q Lasers so I'm hoping this will also help. Thank you for the coupon code so I could get the 15% discount, Bonnie! Happy Holidays, and thank you for all you do!

  8. Long weekend to yourself :0) sounds perfect. I enjoyed my weekend making clue one of Indigo Way and decided to make two again this year. I have gotten into the habit of donating quilts for natural disasters, your designs have traveled to Japan after their tsunami, Poland for Ukrainian refugees, Calif for wildfire victims, Kentucky for flood victims, and my local community for newborns and those getting their first home through Habitat. Thanks for making quilting so fun Bonnie!
