October blew out of here on a breeze that went from balmy to brutal overnight!
I woke up this morning to 23 degrees. Can I please have a do-over? Where do I make a return? Can I swap this one for a different one? Do not recommend.
As you can see from the above photo we've got a bit of an action shot going on.
While quilted and bound quilts have a bit more weight to them, the newly finished quilt tops were adjusting their sails and ready for take off. LOL!
But what an array of beautiful quilts to behold!
This is followed by Wendy and Bev who both completed quilt tops while on retreat!
Tumelo Trail from Scraps & Shirttails II, a lovely sampler, On Ringo Lake, Jared Takes a Wife from the Free Patterns tab, and a newly finished quilt top with African fabrics and printed photos from a granddaughter's trip to Africa.
Tonni started and finished her log cabin top on retreat!
I don't know the name of the hanging beads one on the right, but it is followed by a newly completed Bristol top and that lovely exploding heart in red, white & blue!

The LAST fire pit of the 2023 retreat season!
We couldn't NOT do it. It was 74 earlier in the day. It was perfect sweater weather in the evening. Little did we know that just a couple days later it would be 23 in the morning.
The hubster builds great fires!
This was Sunday night - what a great weirdly warm week it was. I'm glad we made the most of it.
This wonderful group of women loaded up all of their belongings and hit the road yesterday morning.
Soaking up the last bit of warmth and sunshine!

The November Quiltvillians will be arriving this afternoon - so there was a quick turn-around to put the Halloween spooky stuff away, leave the regular autumn through Thanksgiving type stuff out, wash all the laundry - you know the routine.

I completely sold out of Tri-Recs rulers yesterday. I've got over 75 orders to ship today. I have more rulers on order, and if they are here before I leave to Arizona next Wednesday, great - if not - we'll deal with it when I get back.
Many quilt shops have the triangle-in-a-square ruler from one manufacturer or another. Check.
I'll also provide paper piecing templates if you'd rather make the units that way anyway.
I still have the Essential Triangle Tool on hand.

lol, i SURELY do not want to be at this stage of visual impairment, not sure were the "need" is, maybe to help me appreciate the wonderful quilts i CAN see and that i HAVE made... while not as severe, my so cal weather has turned to much much cooler, especially at night and the fall days are spectacular! ReplyDeleteI love the over the porch rail posts!! I'm glad you got it in. As for the weather, here in South Central Texas we finally got a taste of the cool weather. After a brutal summer it was a much needed change!! I was going through my list of patterns that I want to do last night. I will also be adding Silk Path to it as well as this year's mystery!! But this thing called work gets in the way!! HA!
