This is me typing on my phone from beneath the comfy quilts---nursing a sick tummy. :-((
More than you wanted to know I'm sure!
All I know is that 2 hours after my sushi dinner last night, my stomach was on the rampage and I wished I could hurry up and die! Food poisoning maybe?
Made it through the workshop today and had a great time---came back and slept 3 hours. I still feel pretty yuck so am laying low until my drive home tomorrow.
This is me and King Neptune saying Beware Of Sushi!!
And giant turtles that look like they could land on your head.

So sorry, Bonnie. That is MISERABLE! Neptune adds great credibility to your warning! : )
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better soon. There is nothing worse than eating something you love and then having to pay for it for the next 24+ hours.
ReplyDeleteOh no! Few things are worse than being sick away from home and having to face the trip unwell! I got sick from prawns in the Bahamas and had to fly home with a very unhappy tummy - yuk!!! Sending you virtual flowers and hugs & get well SOON wishes!!!
ReplyDeleteI am sooo sorry you are sick!! You were sure a trouper, I would have never known you were under the weather in class today. I hope you feel A OK in the morning and have a pleasant trip home. Thanks for your great lectures and class :)

ReplyDeletehope you get to feeling better and not being home makes it worse I bet thinking of driving home when you aren't up to snuff!
ReplyDeleteHere's hoping you are better soon! I had food poisoning from a restaurant salad last year and ended up in the critical care ICU for four days...Make sure you stay hydrated!!!
ReplyDeleteHope you're feeling better very soon! It really stinks to be sick away from home. Rest and drink plenty to get all of that poison out of your system. sending you hugs and a heartfelt "get well soon".
ReplyDeleteOh no! Feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteDitto - Oh No! You DO feel like dying don't you, and you think - what a waste of time - I could be SEWING!!!! Hope you're all better soon - take lots and lots of liquids!!!
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon. This is how my seafood allergy showed up. Hope that isn't what is going on.
ReplyDeleteThis why I stopped eating Sushi......not worth the "pain".
ReplyDeleteI hope you're feeling better by morning and can make it home safely.
Bummer :0(.
Happy Sewing
Oh no! I can relate, last year a week before Christmas hubby and I got food poisoning from canned mushrooms. It was 4 days before I could eat again. I thew up over 40 times! I hope yours clears up very quickly.
ReplyDeleteWe still can't stand to look at mushrooms!
I hope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeletePoor Bonnie! I have never had food poisoning, thankfully. And sushi has just never appealed to me, and this just reinforces that non-appeal! Keep hydrated, get well soon,

Hope you are feeling better. I had the same thing five years ago from some sushi in Houston. The stomach cramps lasted all night. Since then I only eat sushi I made myself. Which is great, because it forced me to learn how to make sushi!
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon, Bonnie. It's terrible to be sick and then no fun to add traveling to it. Hopefully all will be well for your travels.
ReplyDeleteI love the picture with the turtle!
So Sorry, try and get some yogurt into you, greek style is probably the best or if you can get it, straight acidophilus, good bacteria, kills bad bacteria, hope you're better soon, Bj.
ReplyDeleteoh poor Bonnie! I hope you feel better quick!
ReplyDeleteWell sushi is delicious but having to experience that after a meal is tragic.
ReplyDeleteBad food from restaurants making you sick is not good. Get well soon...
ReplyDelete(Worse is if you eat fish at home you thougt was good like I did last year - after forgetting it spends 4 days in the fridge . :-D)
But that*s no reason not to eat Sushi - you don*t have to start with raw fish, eat vegetable-sushi first.
Bad sushi makes for a very bad tummy - been there! Hope you didn't get the sushi at Mahi Mah's. That is my favorite spot for sushi in Virginia Beach. Hope you feel better soon!!
ReplyDeletebest done: anything "fishy" should NOT smell other than fresh salt water. beware of shrimps, they tend to go bad first. best sign that a bar or restaurant is good - works all the time - is seeing if the place is loaded with locals. they know....
ReplyDeleterecuperate with cinnamon rice =^}
be well, from a cloudy amsterdam with love,
irene
I hope you feel better!
