All Roads Lead To The Kitchen!

Where there is abundant quilting, there also must be yummy food!

This photo is a special thanks to Cindy who had to cancel out at the last minute, but sent a yummy charcuterie board for all to enjoy - she was with us in spirit!

(And oh, this was such a yummy lunch!)

Cheeses, cold cuts, a variety of olives, dried fruits and nuts...just the fuel we needed to get back to the machines.

And there was a whole lot of assembly going on!

Triple Treat is coming together after being worked on as a Leader & Ender project for quite some time - the fun part?  There are so many "I-Spy" novelty fabrics in here that whomever receives it will have a great time looking at all of the cute things.

Sometimes a Leader & Ender project just calls out to be put together and be done with - and I'm laughing that she started calling this quilt triple THREAT.  LOL!

Check out the Silk Path in rainbow colors on the design wall, side by side with Cabin Corners

The goal may be "scrap reduction" but we all know these quilts won't really make a dent.  LOL!

Maybe a dimple, but not a dent.  And we are okay with that!

Something fun using layer cake is happening here!

Stars, stars and more stars!

Sampler blocks are under way!

And this looks like a whole lot of summer!

Table runner pattern from Pieces of My Heart.

The buffalo plaid middle has been added!

Some cute butterflies are being worked on the side of the color wash scrappy quilt -

More fun with batiks -

If you have pattern/designer info for this one please leave it in the comments -

I'll try to get more info on everything today.

Half of something wonderful!

Also need pattern info on this one.

This design is from Sew Kind of Wonderful - just needs borders!

I posted a bit about this block before the weekend -

Every historic monument/building in Romania has this little symbol so you can stop and learn about where you are standing.

I knew when I got home that I wanted to draw this up for paper piecing.

I have now added a star block!

The narrow sashes in the star corners continue the diagonal design of the sashes in the blocks.

I tried on-point, but then the main block doesn't look like the one marking historic places, so it will be straight set with the corners of the star blocks creating a diagonal pattern through the quilt.

I'm not going super big.  I'm just doing this one for me to remember this trip.

And the crazy thing?  June 26th is flag day in Romania.  And I was working on these blocks on June 26th not knowing it was flag day in Romania.  Kismet?  I think so!

Hazel thinks so, too.

This is where I left things yesterday afternoon.

The binding of Goose Feathers has begun!

And then abruptly stopped when this happened last night.  For the first time ever - Tula crawled up into my lap and settled in by her own volition.

She has NEVER shown an interest in being a lap cat.  But she did this TWICE last night. Hooray!

So now that it's Monday - guess what time it is?

Quiltville Quote of the Day -

I believe in right turns, left turns, and U-turns! If you don't like where your road is heading, change direction or build a new road!
And this is important: ⁣
Please don't judge someone else's road or tell them how they should be walking it, or what would make THEIR road better for YOU.
Just some random thoughts on this beautiful almost-end-of-June morning. How can June pass so quickly?

Happy Monday, folks -

The quilt with the log cabin like blocks with pieces making curves in the corners is Antelope Canyon by Laurie Schifrin Designs. It is on my "to be made" list. Lovely colors in this version.
