Sewciologists Over The Rail!

And they were off yesterday morning...but what a fun time we had while they were here!

Good friends, great fabric, amazing projects, loud laughter, plenty of shenanigans and the best food.

I don't think there is anything else we can ask for in a retreat!

With rain inbound on  Monday, we did our porch photo taking in Sunday's late afternoon sunshine.

Old Town, County Clare and Easy Breezy both from the Free Patterns tab.

Jacob's Chain is perfect for Independence Day celebrations, and what's not to love about a classic Trip Around the World in beautiful pastels?

Twi very pretty in pink quilts!

Quilt on the left is a sample for the Kentucky Quilt Shop Hop starting in July. Kits and fabric will be available during the hop. That border print is gorgeous!

The second quilt is called Scrap Tease and is available as a PDF purchase on the Cotton To Quilts online shop HERE.

Colorful Cathedral by Kimberly Einmo on on the left, something soft, sweet and pastel on the right. If you have pattern info, please leave it in the comments below.

On the left: Elegance from the Big Block 3 Yard Quilts book.

On the right: Miss Americana by Lella Boutique

Nine patches and Summer Pop by Lo and Behold.

What a fantastic array of wonderful quilts by an amazing group!

And in other QPO Studio quilting news:

Quilting is happening!

I think you can see here how nicely the light aqua thread is traveling across light and dark areas.

The edge-to-edge design is called Country Garden by Hermione Agee

Red polka dot binding is already made and waiting!

Hopefully that binding will be on by evening time and I can start with the feet up, flipping and stitching down routine.

Anyone else get excited at the prospect of several evenings relaxing under a newly quilted quilt just stitching down binding?  No? Just me?

Did you see this happen?  Did you get your entry in?

I'll be drawing for two winners who will each receive a String Rings PDF pattern from me and...

I don't know why it works this way, but it does.

Also today: I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of the Mississippi Stitchers!

They've got a long long drive ahead of them - I'm sure it is full of fun stops for lunch and a quilt shop or two along their journey.  They'll arrive after 4pm....which means I better get busy.

Quiltville Quote of the Day -

There are days when I just bite my tongue and smile back and let karma do its thing.

I have too many quilts to make to risk going to jail. LOL!

Have a wonderful Wednesday, everyone -
