This happened overnight and is continuing.
Am I wishing I were back in Morocco? 60 degree temps and sunshine? YES!
But this has a beauty all of its own, too -
And Hubster Dave has been out plowing since daylight.
From the side yard.
Yesterday's plan to take Tula to the vet went without a hitch, and I'm glad I went yesterday.
Dave has physical therapy for his wrist in Independence, so he was dropped off, and I continued on to the vet in Hillsville.
The whole procedure took less than 10 minutes and we were back on the road to go get Dave after therapy. It was the best use of our time, gas, and clear road driving.
I'm glad we didn't wait.
She is still a bathroom captive for now, but she feels so much better, I'm sure, with the staples out of her face!
There is a bit of scabbing, and that will fall off on its own in due time.
Here's a little clip of us going through the Souk, or marketplace in Marrachech:

Unpacking some treasures!
Morocco is known for its spices, and we had a great opportunity to pick up some and bring them home.
Knowing that Dave sometimes thinks black pepper is too much (HA!) I only stuck with the ones I knew I would use: Ginger, Paprika and Cinnamon.
I picked up the little air tight jars at Dollar Tree yesterday on my way home from the vet for this purpose.
This little mixture is Nigella seeds and menthol crystals. You can wrap some up in a little fabric square, rub it against your palm to warm it and breathe it in like a Vicks vapor stick -
Or you can put a teaspoon into a cup of steaming water, and breathe it in to open nasal passages.
It's called "Pharmacy in a Jar" and with my allergies, I think I'll be sniffing this a lot. LOL!
Moroccan Tea!
This is a mixture of flowers, spices and herbs and is caffeine free. I will love this in the evening - it's delicious.
Something I didn't expect: Moroccans love their tea REALLY SWEET! The south here in the USA does not hold the rights to sweet tea. And in Morocco they love it HOT and sweet.
Since it was my birthday while in Morocco, I treaded myself to this Hamsa pendant. And the earrings to match.
Goodness knows I need more peace and strength in my life!
The 5 pointed star is found in the center of the Moroccan Flag, just like the 50 5 pointed stars are found on our own USA flag.
Our itinerary may be a bit different, but I can't wait to see this beautiful country.
My favorite bring home.
Look at the inlaid pattern on the box lid.
And it comes with a key!
A divided tray sits inside!
And the tray comes out to reveal a larger space beneath.
I know it was meant to be a jewelry box, but I'm thinking SEWING BOX!
Oh how I wish I were back in Morocco in short sleeves and sunshine instead of dealing with this snow stuff today!
But I do have projects in mind for some machine stitching time during this snowy weekend ahead, and warm memories of Morocco to keep in mind.
I'm also looking forward to our next Craftours Adventure: ROMANIA!
I found a Rick Steeves video on Youtube to get me even more excited about this upcoming trip.
We are going in JUNE!
Our itinerary may be a bit different, but I can't wait to see this beautiful country.
