IronEZ Holiday Gift-Away!

Let's keep building up the holiday spirit with an IronEZ Gift-Away!

We haven't done this in a while, and when Scott, the CEO of IronEZ contacted me yesterday - I replied with a resounding YES!

The adjustable clip can fit a multitude of thicknesses – this will even clamp to a table top, tray or big board.

It fits and corrals a multitude of favorite bottle sizes – and the free bottle that comes with it has even a finer mist than the traditional trigger spray on Best Press.

Fill them with your favorite spray be it Best Press, Flatter, spray starch or sizing, or the homemade version – whatever your favorite concoction is.

I am just this sold on the product, and the kind folks at IronEZ are offering a 15% discount to my readers using code BH15OFF – AND – we are drawing THREE winners! (Due to shipping, this gift-away is available to USA residents only please.)

No more knocking that spray bottle off of their ironing board ever again.

IronEZ is the perfect spray bottle holder for all of your pressing needs!

Click to Play:

No more spray bottles taking a dive off the ironing board.

They are held securely out of the way!

And we are going to draw for THREE winners!

One will win the IronEZ with standard bottle, a second will win the IronEZ with fine mist bottle, and our third winner will receive a 2 pack of fine mist bottles!

I love the fine mist bottles!

I have a couple of these bottles and I love how they provide the finest mist when it comes to pressing.

Each IronEZ ironing board spray bottle holder purchase includes this new bottle.

Use coupon code BH15OFF to save 15%!

Get two or three while you are at it.  You are going to LOVE keeping those spray bottles in line and off of your ironing surface.

Need more bottles? They are now selling the new fine-mist bottles in a 2-pack so you can have one at your stand up ironing station, and one by your machine for work station pressing.

Click on over to the IronEZ website where you will find limited time FREE SHIPPING (within the USA) in addition to your 15% off should you also wish to gift yourself or a quilting friend.

Would you like to WIN an IronEZ?

We will draw for our 3 winners on Monday, 12/6/21!

As noted, Winner must have prize shipped to a USA address.  If you are outside of the USA, we can send it to a friend within the USA who can forward it on to you.

My day yesterday got a little bit hijacked.

I was caught up on getting the weekend's orders out by 1pm, and thought I'd take a quick trip to the other side of Independence to get an oil change on my car.  It needs it.  That light has been on for a while! (I run synthetic oil and it can run longer than the light dictates.)

When I got to the place - their waiting room was full.  And this place is in the middle of nowhere with nothing to occupy your time in the midst of a waiting room full of strangers.  Without masks on.

I'm just not wanting to be in "stranger space" right now - I'm still very cautious, so I continued my drive over to the Walmart in Galax thinking that I could at least SHOP while my car was worked on.

It took TWO HOURS.  And they weren't able to finish the tire rotation as the last place that did it stripped a nut, or got it on there cockeyed and it just won't come off.  So there is that.

And no, I didn't have a busy bag - it was supposed to be a quick oil change, right?  (There is no such thing!)

When I finally left, I had shopped Dollar Tree from across the parking lot, and Walmart, and made a quick stop at Goodwill to check for irons. (They die when they are ON 18 hours a day at least at the inn, so I pick up what I can find.)

No irons.  But a 237!

This is probably the LAST of the good solid metal machines before plastic machines became a thing once the "touch and throw" models were out with their lovely nylon gears.

This was only $19.99 and would make a perfect starter machine for any young lady just wanting to learn to sew.  It has a few basic zig zag stitches and you can move the needle left, right, center.

I thought about buying it.  Just because.  But I've tried really hard to leave things for others while I continue to downsize what was moved over from the Wallburg house (Now belonging to someone else, YAY!)

If any of you are near Galax, VA - go snatch this up.  it's a workhorse!

I hate that it gets dark just past 5pm, but my drive home was a glorious glow of light and shadow.

Sunset pictures with an old white wooden church on the side of the road? Yes please!

Finally.  Needle and thread time!

I'm getting there.  Even if I only hand quilt for an hour or so.  I'm going to get there.  I want the quilting done by New Year's eve.  I can deal with the blind stitching of the edge into 2022, but I want the hand quilting done this year.

My Quilter's Tech Set is 25% off - no coupon needed!

It's great for gift exchanges, and stocking stuffing!

Featuring quilts from my book String Frenzy with fabulous quotes to keep you going!

This tech set is washable, lightweight, and perfect to travel with! The Microfiber Pouch holds a lightweight, foldable Mouse Mat, Cleaning Cloth, and Mini Cling Screen Cleaner.

The mouse mat is textured and a bit "grippy" on the underside to stay put where you need it.

And the big question of the day is - Will Bonnie get the rest of those Ohio Star blocks put together so she can start laying things out???

That's the goal!  What are you up to today?

Quiltville Quote of the Day -

Our relationships are worth far more than any object that we desire. Who remembers the song 'One Tin Soldier'?
The best gifts in life are people, not things.
The best time to focus on that is NOW.

    1. Judy, Me too on the Singer; even though I certainly don't need it. But a good metal workhorse is good to have. I had one of the Singer Touch and Throws from 1974 that lasted 30 years. It was in a beautiful cabinet that I still have. Mine lasted until it had to make the trip to Alaska more than 11 years ago. That was just too much for those nylon gears. And it worked fine a month before the trip.

  2. When you get to that blind stitching step in a month or so, I'd love to see how you handle that if you don't mind sharing. My grandma left several partial/unfinished hexie projects in vintage fabrics. They were badly pieced, and I've been slowly taking them apart and reassembling them w paper pieces. Have not yet figured out how to deal with the edges, and would very much appreciate seeing how you do it. TIA!

  4. I'm eager to see what happens with the Ohio Stars! Today I'm making some ornaments to give out at Christmas. We will be celebrating with family we don't usually buy for so the ornaments will be my contribution. And I may make another block for my Corey Yoder Christmas Quilt!
    Gorgeous sunset too!

  7. I remember the movie and the song
"Now they stood beside the treasure
On the mountain, dark and red
Turned the stone and looked beneath it
"Peace on Earth" was all it said

I also remember the song "Let there be Peace on Earth, and let it begin with Me"

  8. I am making pillowcases, every grandchild and G-I-L (that still wants one) and all the great grandchildren (old enough to use a pillow). Only 16 this year. A couple of my granddaughters have moved on to satin pillowcases. I have made these for the past 20 years. For several years they got them for Valentine's and birthdays too. So some of them have quite a stack. I always say I'm going to make them ahead, but usually end up making most of them last minute.

  9. The Singer 237 was my first machine. I still have it. Mine came in a cabinet and I bought it in the spring of 1972 brand new. Always loved it because it had a zigzag stitch. I grew up on my Mother's straight stitch and wanted a variety. lol

  10. Beautiful Sunset Bonnie!
I Love the song " One Tin Soldier".
I am waiting for the layout of your Ohio Stars! I Want that, in your colors!

I Have Clue 1 done of the mystery, even if it is only half size. That is still an accomplishment for me. I am finishing p another quilt at the same time, and will be doing a QAYG service quilt on my serger next week. Clue 2 comes out on dentist day, so it will be Saturday before I get to it.

Have a Great Week Bonnie, and Thank You for everything you do for the Quilting World!

  11. I have the IronEZ on the side of my sewing machine table. A tall travel tumbler fits perfectly in it, to act as a thread and small clipping catcher. So nice to have it where I don't knock it off my table.

  12. I have that Singer! One of my first purchases after high school! Made clothes for myself, then later for my kids. Only machine I had til I bought my Janome Magnolia when I retired, learned to quilt, and wanted a lightweight machine to take in our rv. I should get it tuned up and use it again. Was not sure it could be used for quilting.

  13. I had a very similar experience last week when I went to the Quick Lane for an oil change. It ended up costing me because they broke a lug nut. They said it separated and it is just due to normal wear and tear according to a lawsuit that Ford won so it cost me another $45 for lug nuts plus $150 for the extra time. It also took a total of 4 hours.

  14. Hi there, I discovered your blog today and boy ...did I go off on the hunt for patterns, tips, and it's like taking off down a rabbit hole ... LOL - all in a very good way! Thank you so very much for all your hard work, I'm pretty new to quilting and am loving it! I ordered the IronEz ...had to have one! Do you still do any quilters retreats? I have a friend that travels around with her hubby in RV living. Just curious. THANKS!

  15. Started cutting and sewing the 16 pairs of Ugly Flannel Pajama bottoms today, all out of the same fabric. This has been a family tradition I started when the first grandkids were just little people, and they loved having matching pjs with their Moms and Dads. They’re in college now. I truly hunt for the ugliest flannel I can find, all of the pajamas are made from the same print fabric. Had to purchase 40 yards this year, those grandkids are getting tall!

  16. I have that exact model of Singer that I bought while in college. It's over 50 years old and still in use. Love it.

  18. "One Tin Soldier" is one of my all-time favorites!
I'm getting ready for my small quilt group to come tomorrow for a day of fun - just like every quilt group, we'll stitch and chat and eat! The bowl of chocolate is ready, the house is mostly clean (why vacuum until after???), and the quesadilla filling will be made so it's ready to assemble. SO looking forward to the day!
