From Mineola to San Antonio!

Irene and I just arrived in San Antonio. passing through Athens, Corsicana, Waco and Austin on our way!

Unfortunately a lot of antique malls ARE closed on Monday ---we had forgotten what it is like in Small Town Texas, but I made a flipagram of quilts we saw on our route!

This is my first time embedding one of these, so bear with me--

More to come tomorrow.  We are hungry, tired, and would love to sew instead of editing photos!

  3. Question....regarding your slow Elna ...I see you have had a few, not many but a few, Elnas in your classes do they all sew slowly?
I want one but I sew quickly so if slow is their nature we will not be a good fit as I use my sewing machines they are not with me to be sitting on a shelf looking pretty. If you answer during a webcam then others can learn too I don't mind sharing thank you

You went right smack dab through the middle of the town where I grew up...Hubbard, Texas, on Highway 31 halfway between Corsicana and Waco! Great Antique Mall on the left one block before you get to the red light.
Have fun in San Antonio...relax, eat some good Mexican food, and enjoy the city during the best time of year to visit there!!!

  8. I suspect that the flipagram may be flashed based. It does not work on my 'i' devices. Just so you know.

  9. Not all devices or computers will play these. :-( I have a quilt similar to the butterfly quilt but set with green alternate squares. Love it so much. Won it in the 50's in a raffle for 10 cents for one ticket.
