This is Kathleen’s view from our LAST Quilt-Cam session!
She’s been bitten by the hexie bug and has her little snap ware container all set up and ready to travel with her where she goes!
Which reminds me…I need to cut some more red hexies before I leave for Dallas/Fort Worth in the morning!
I’ll add that on to the “to do” list and keep moving on!

Thanks for an awesome class. The Rio Grande Valley Quilt Guild loved your presentation.
Glad you enjoyed the popcorn.
Elaine and I loved that you posted our quilt blessing photo on facebook.
Cassino taught me a better method for Hexies during the guild meeting and I am loving making them. I am working on them tonight
Hurry back. This was the photo she posted to our Quiltville Friends Facebook Wall:

Kathleen said: Bonnie, Elaine and I were at the Blessing of the quilts at Our Savior Lutheran Church this morning. The Piecemakers also celebrated their 10th anniversary of making quilts. We had about 300 quilts.
What an awesome show of community spirit! I’m sure these quilts will really bring a lot of happiness and warmth this winter!
Today for Quilt-Cam I’m plugging along on the nagging cheddar sampler UFO!
I’ve set up Morris the Morse for sewing!
I’ve cut out my block parts – only 4 blocks to go until I can call the blocks DONE and then finish up on those square in a square cornerstones and set the top together. Long enough is long enough on this thing, don’t you think?
Click the screen below to start the feed. And I hope YOU brought a project to work on, too!
Good afternoon Bonnie,
ReplyDeleteI just finished putting the borders on my 3rd Sister's Choice quilt. Two are for sisters who my son drives to the renal center and the 3rd is for our local nursing home. This afternoon I will be cutting more 2 1/2" squares so I can make a dancing nine patch

ReplyDeleteHi Bonnie, love your quilt cam. I am working on a baby quilt and a memory quilt squares for my leaders and enders. You gave me the confidence to get into the memory quilt. I was having a hard time doing it but I have gotten a lot of good ideas from you. Thanks for all that you do. I am looking forward to the mystery quilt. It is my first one.
ReplyDeleteHi Bonnie - joining you for the first time on you quilt cam. Sewing binding on two baby quilts today!

DeleteHi Bonnie, Deb here from Florida
ReplyDeleteFirst time LIVE quilt cam for me! I'm working on a 3 year old UFO today while sewing along with you. Safe travels to Texas.....
I'm doing the quilting on a Thanksgiving tablerunner, I've given myself a deadline of this weekend to finish it completely. It's fun to listen to quilt cam as I sew. I'm ready for the Celtic Solstice, too. Now to gather the fabrics for the class in Plano at the end of December. These 2 projects will be my first Bonnie Hunter patterns and I am excited!
ReplyDeleteHi Bonnie! Suprise! Saturday Quiltcam is so great, thanks! Working on a yellow brick road then going shopping for more mystery fabric in San Diego:)
ReplyDeleteHi Bonnie. Helen here from new Zealand. Thank you for having quiltcam at this time as it is 8.15 on Sunday morning and this is really the only time I can watch you. I am doing the quilt along at the moment from the Quilters Newsletter - my hubby really likes it and wants it for our bed after I made a similar one for my friend..
ReplyDeleteTwo quilt cams in less than a week? YAHOOO! Have you seen the Celtic Solstice Facebook group yet? You have groupies and I am happy to say I am one of them! Stay well!
ReplyDeleteHi, Bonnie! SOOO nice to see a spontaneous quilt cam. I just fortunately happened to be on your page (looking for your instructions on bow tie blocks). I am currently working on a pieced quilt back. Do you have any tips to share or a method to your "madness"?? I love pieced backs, but do find they can be more difficult than the pieced front. Thanks! Tracey
ReplyDeleteHi Bonnie,
ReplyDeleteAm a new "fan" of yours. Love your blog, Facebook postings, and am planning to join your new mystery quilt. Anxious to see clue on the 29th. Am finishing a Zentangle Quilt block. Recently found Zentangle and am enjoying "playing" with it. Love the Web Cam. Betsy from Massachusetts in New England....nice sunny day today!!
So glad I tuned in! I have chain-pieced but never even thought of chain-ironing...all I can say is what my kids used to say..."Well, duh!" Thanks for another wonderful tip!
ReplyDeleteHi Bonnie. I was so glad to the today's post for Quiltcam. I am chunking Scrappy Trips blocks today. Hope to get the top completed this weekend. Found a great pantograph from Hermione Agee! Thanks for the resource.
ReplyDeleteHi Bonnie,
ReplyDeleteIts so nice to be able to catch quilt cam with you. Normally it would be 4am start my time. Thank you so much for sharing your time with us. Hopefully one day you will come to South Africa (I keep checking your calendar).

Another 'Hi Bonnie' from ' London. Its great to have a live Quilt Cam during our evening. I usually watch you with one eye shut :)
ReplyDeleteIts superb to hear that you will be coming to London. Will you be teaching any classes either in London or Birmingham??
Thank you for quilt cam today. My granddaughter (10) and her best friend are here in the sewing room with me. They are working on zippered pouches to give as little Christmas gifts. Fun!
ReplyDeleteHi Bonnie! Love that you share yourself and your knowledge with all of us! Question...how many quilts do you work on at one time?
ReplyDeleteHi Bonnie,
ReplyDeleteGlad to see that Quilt Cam was going today as I was in a funk until I saw that I could sew with you today. I am sewing string blocks on my 1921 Red Eye treadle. Have a fun time in Tx.
Hello from Michigans Upper Penisula! Paper piecing on my new to me Pioneer hand crank sewing machine. Love it! So glad to have caught you on Quilt Cam today!
ReplyDeleteHi Bonnie I made it to quilt cam and I am wide awake!
ReplyDeletejust finishing up last years western washing shop hop quilt with ya'll today...sew glad to have cammies to keep me company! your foot control issues would be no problem for us , uh hm, more experienced school bus drivers...we all have fond memories of those sweet double clutch buses! have a great weekend everybody!
ReplyDeleteHere is a hello from Elin in Norway. I love to follow your programs, and this time I can watch it live. I have been working hard on Roll roll cotton boll this week, to get it finished before nov. 29! Tonight i'm working on a block from Civil War Diary. Heavy storm outside. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteStopped after work last night to pick up a few groceries. Checked the quilting section of the magazines and was pleased to find 100 blocks version 8. So for those not counting on winning a drawing, they might find one now at their favorite store for picking up these things. This was a store that is owned by Kroger, but I don't know if that's why it was out already. Good luck to everyone!
ReplyDeleteHi Bonnie
ReplyDeleteSo glad to see you live on QuiltCam! I'm working on a community service quilt for our guild.
Question: do you have any idea where I can find plaid velvet? I am looking for about 1/3 - 1/2 yard piece of dark navy base fabric with green, maroon, red,and gold, stripes for the plaid to repair a crazy quilt that is about 60 years old. I've been searching the internet but no luck. Maybe I will need to deconstruct clothing - but haven't found anything similar. The navy part is almost black - and I could use black instead of navy - just no luck finding anything similar. Thanks, Laurie - MyQuiltingLady@gmail.com sewhappy57@hotmail.com
Hi Bonnie from rainy Wisconsin I am also putting together hexies today. To the person who was working on grandmothers flower garden, paperpieces.com has "hexie" grid paper that is great for coloring/designing hexagon quilts :) Safe travels to you
ReplyDeleteHi Bonnie,
ReplyDeleteI'm looking through the scrap bin in preparation for Celtic Solstice. As I dig through, I see fabric for quilts that I made, (or at least started), years ago! Apparently I have a thing for grey-blues and gray-greens...exactly what I don't need. Oh well. There's always my stash!
I'm also gathering all the materials for your visit to Fabric Fanatics in Plano, I can't wait to see what you have in store for us!
Love Quilt Cam!
Irene
San Antonio TX
Hi Bonnie,
ReplyDeleteSo glad to be able to join you on quiltcam today! I am trimming up some scraps for the moment. I am between projects and don't know what to work on now!! So cleaning and sorting seems to make sense.
Meg in Michigan
Hello from McKinney Texas. It is a grey perfect for quilting kind of day and now I can sew along with company. I'm working on a purse insert for the Vera Bradley knock off purse I made this week.
ReplyDeleteFirst time I've actually been on quilt cam while you are live. Enjoying it and hope to get sewing soon. We just got home from our trip yesterday and I'm not quite set up for sewing yet. But love seeing what you are doing.
ReplyDeleteHey Bonnie, I'm watching and packing for a retreat with Pieced Together Quilters. We're off the Lancaster, PA area tomorrow a.m. Hope you don't get hubbies cold! from Kathy in New Jersey
ReplyDeleteI, too, am working on four more blocks for a top! It's Pineapple Blossom from your workshop here in Illinois last May. A question on the cornerstones for this one - should they match the lights that make the triangles, or the darks (or in my case BRIGHTS) that make up the rectangles? I know the sashing strips should be the brights, but wasn't sure about the cornerstones. Many thanks!
ReplyDeleteThe roasted vegetables are the bomb. We love them here. I also have made a brocolli and cauliflower gratin that everyone in our family loves.
ReplyDeleteMaking me hungry for cornbread dressing and fruit salad with pecans. My challenge is to make some of my dinner gluten free. thanks for your inspiration, I'm trimming my scraps while watching you in MO.
ReplyDeleteCornmeal rolls! In fact, my brothers ask me to make them all the time...now that our parents are gone...they are our comfort food!
ReplyDeleteI have to make pumpkin chiffon pie with nut crust and lemon meringue pie. I usually make at least 10 pies. have s big family.
ReplyDeleteHi Bonnie, I have 155 5 1/2" bowtie blocks I am trying to figure out how to set together, it has been fun, never tried this block before. I enjoy your company on quilt cam thank you. Margene
ReplyDeleteDidn't want to miss quilt cam, my husband is watching a movie, so I plugged in some ear plugs and now I can sit work on hand quilting and enjoy your company.
ReplyDeletemy mom's cornbread sage-sausage dressing is a must!
ReplyDeleteImagine that! I finally decided to get some serious time in my sewing room -- it's been quite literally since FOREVER!
ReplyDeleteAnd then... tired of background noise in the form of Harry Potter, I thought......"hm, let's go catch up on Bonnie Quilt Cams from the past 5 months!"
Lo and behold--- you're live today :)
PERFECT!
Tidying up some L/E'ers -- working on three projects all at the same time: baby quilt, Lazy Sunday and a RWB Pineapple Blossoms. I simply MUST get organized and tidied to be ready for Celtic Solstice :)
Thanks so much for being so real! I love that you don't expect yourself to do everything exactly right the first time. It liberates the rest of us watching you! I won't be so hard on myself when I make a mistake thanks to you! Thanks for the gift of Quiltcam! I am constantly amazed at your schedule and your energy level~ Good for you for taking a bit of time to yourself! Lori ( AKA your stalker from the Verona Antique Mall)
ReplyDeleteWorking on Lazy Sunday Morning. Decided at the last minute to make it a square quilt, as I don't have a bed the size to fit the smaller quilt. Need to get this done to prepare for the Celtic Solstice. I have my paint swatches but have not pulled any fabrics.
ReplyDeleteI keep trying to watch today and am having internet connecting problems. I have to keep re-starting the Feed. Such a bummer! Working on Border units for my Midnight Flight!!! Decisions, decisions. I 'm not doing the one on the pattern. I have extra 4-patches so I wanted to use those. Thank you for QuiltCam on a Saturday!
ReplyDeleteWhat was the name of the book you mentioned in the begining? The Block Book? Where can we find it?
ReplyDeleteHi Bonnie…viewing Quiltcam from windy d-u-s-t-y West Texas!! I had planned to work on a hand appliqué project this afternoon when I discovered you would be having Quiltcam…YIPPEE!!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you had some good sewing time Thursday with friends….after all, it's not like you don't EVER get to sew!! HA!
And I want to know...don't you ever just lay around on the couch (like me) and do NOTHING??!! ha ha!
Well wishes to sick hubby!!
Hi Bonnie, viewing Quiltcam for the first time. Enjoying myself.. thanks
ReplyDeleteI spy a cute little "thread server" in Kathleen's picture at the top of this post. What a great idea!!
ReplyDeleteWhat is a thread server? The plastic coin holder with the three holes drilled in the lid? I put in 3 bobbins of thread and threaded them through the holes. Ta dah.
DeleteI didn't sew anything. But it was nice to watch the quiltcam!
ReplyDeleteHi! Bonnie,
ReplyDeleteI think you should call that machine Inspector Morse after the BBC series Inspector Morse played by John Thaw. It is blue just like his eyes! Love the quilt cam. I never seem to get to watch live, but it is fun after the fact.
My first live Quilt Cam and my PC ran out of juice --- loved sewing with you.
ReplyDeleteWatching QuiltCam a bit after the fact, but still fun! Our family has a Thanksgiving tradition I wanted to share with you. My mother has always made our turkey with Mogan David Grape Concord (or any grape concord) wine. It makes the house smell AMAZING and makes a terrific gravy. I hate Thanksgiving elsewhere because it just isn't right without our wine gravy! You will always remember the year your dad came and you made him special dishes--share pics on the blog of your spread when the time comes! :)
ReplyDeleteOh--I may have told you this before but I bought a Nesco oven (from QVC) and we make the turkey right in it (freeing up the oven for other goodies) and then I make the gravy in it and afterwards plop the carcass back in it with the gravy that didn't scrape off and cover with water...then I make turkey soup! :) EASY PEASY!
ReplyDeleteHi Bonnie Sewing a string quilt with left over fall fabric. Heading to Dallas next wk hope the weather holds out. Driving
