It’s going to be a pretty fast and furious trip…
Class Monday and lecture Monday night, and class Tuesday in Granbury.
Lecture Tuesday night and Class Wednesday in Fort Worth.
Lecture Thursday Eve in Weatherford.
Home on Friday! And then the Thanksgiving Chaos can really begin!
My afternoon yesterday was spent with a fun round of Quilt-Cam and a bit of sewing even after we ended ---
I finished the four blocks that I needed to round out my 56 blocks for the sampler quilt!
And Four Makes Fifty-Six!
Next up are the cornerstones… According to the Straight Set Sashing and Cornerstone Chart I need a total of 72 square in a square cornerstones. This could get boring. LOL! But I will tackle them when I have a chance, and It’s time to think about what I might want to do about borders!
It’s been worth the wait!
Next time you hear from me I’ll be enjoying either Tex Mex or BBQ --- it’s been a whole week, I think I’m ready again! My flight gets in just before 1pm, I’ll be ready for lunch, don’t you think?
Have a great Sunday, everyone!
Please say hello to my friend Donna Gudat when you are in Granbury. She will be taking one of your classes and attend the lecture. Have fun in Texas, it is warm. Elaine W.
ReplyDeleteI am amazed at your energy and get up and go attitude !. I enjoyed the part of the quiltcam that I caught yesterday. Even with your machine issues your piecing turned out great. Have a fun trip.
ReplyDeleteOh the 4 blocks came out perfectly and of course reflect what was on your cutting table at the time you made them :0)....I see those plaids from your sashing ! Too fun!
ReplyDeleteSafe travels and Happy Sewing
What cute blocks! I love them. Glad you finished these up. Hope you have a wonderful time in Texas. K-
ReplyDeleteOh thanks so much for that chart--I can really use it--love your cheddar backed blocks--with those plaids--just yummy!! hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what you decide to do with the borders on this one! Safe travels!
ReplyDeleteIt is very warm here in Texas today. However a cold front is coming this evening and it will be quite a bit cooler tomorrow. Have fun on your visit. Enjoy the Mexican food this trip. I will be having my favorite this noon.
ReplyDeleteWhat quilt shops??? Those towns are my regulars! Welcome back to texas!
ReplyDeleteLoved the double dose of quilt cam this week. It was just what I needed to finish up a scrappy top and get going on the machine quilting. I have to finish up in time for Celtic Solstice! I stood on the exact spot where you took the picture at the Cliffs of Moher. I am enjoying putting together my fabrics. It will be my first mystery quilt! Safe travels!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the warm weather.
Bonnie, you are spending so much time in Texas, you might as well move back here! I hope that the Kingwood Area Quilt Guild will book you again -- you are such a delight!
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful
ReplyDeleteWhat a happy treat to watch you yesterday! I an loving this blocks you put the plaids in, so much so that I went and ordered a couple stacks of plaid fat quarters today. That was in addition to some more bright fabrics where I needed to fill in the gaps for. "Celtic Solstice". I am sew ready to begin this next mystery with you!
ReplyDeleteYou are always on the go!!! Don't know how you stay sane! Love hearing about your adventures and seeing you on quilt-cam even if I never speak up!
ReplyDeleteWould those blocks be made of leaders and enders of a "Celtic" persuasion???
ReplyDeleteYour four blocks from Quilt Cam look great! Anything cheddary always makes me smile...cheddar bow ties has me hooked on it! Next up is a mini churn dash with cheddar backgrounds. I can't wait to get going on it, but these blocks look like great fun too!
ReplyDeleteI hope you are enjoying your time in Texas!
