Winner Winner Winner–QUILT SHOW GAME!

Product Image

My week is all kinds of out of whack!

Do you know that for a week I’ve been fretting about flying out TOMORROW, Wednesday?

I went to do my online checkin, and it told me I had 16 hours before I could check in ---WHAT?

Yeah.  That’s me.

I don’t fly out until Thursday morning ---HA!

AND THEN…because I was so giddy with an extra day to catch up on things this week…nearly forgot that we are drawing for the winner of Quilt Show, the GAME this evening!

I caught it just in time…and fired up the random number generator.

Here we go!

Some Organizing from Rosemary!

Last week while retreating up at the cabin I shared a photo of how I stacked block parts on a cookie sheet that I had grabbed from the bottom drawer of the kitchen.

That cookie sheet came as a wedding gift – it’s been in household service for 33 years now.  And I DO like cookie sheets for moving block parts from cutting table to sewing machine.

There are other things that are easily obtainable that you might find helpful ---

Pizza boxes come to mind!  You can close the lids on those and transport pieces safely back and forth.

My friend Brenda says she uses the lid of one of her fabric bins.  Just turn it upside down, and it becomes a carry tray.

I’m Home! Happy September 2014!

Photo: Out in the side by side with Mona & #sadiejaner ! FUN! #quiltville #bonniekhunter #blueridgemountains #northcarolina

Get a load of Sadie Jane in the back of Rick & Mona’s side-by-side!  Whoowhooo!

While the guys were out 4 wheeling off track ---us girls stayed on roads and just drove all over the mountain, looking at this view, at that view…LOVELY!

It was with reluctant heart that I left the comfort of Quilt Villa ---

I lagged behind to clean, move laundry from the washer to the dryer, and empty out the fridge.

Well of COURSE, if there was just a bit of root beer left, it can’t be saved..it is better to USE it and throw the bottle out, so I treated myself to a solo root beer float as a farewell.

Happy Labor Day 2014!

Happy Labor Day!

the OFFICIAL start of QUILTIN SEASON! HA!

And there has been loads of piecing going on this week…lots I couldn’t show you as it is mystery related, but I am so tickled with how everything is coming together.

The way I work though – I never decide on things too soon, they kind of evolve, and I’ve already had to make one change  -- switching THIS color for THAT color in a certain area that makes things flow better so I am at a standstill with as far as I can go until I can get home and get into the stash.
