Weekend Quilt Warriors

Project after project after project!

The October Quiltvillians have so much quilting going on - some even burning way past the midnight oil to get the job done.

Check out Kimi's Waterford top - It's DONE!

I love seeing this so much!

This sampler also got its borders, mini stars and all.

Compass variation top  came together -

And the next time I came by, the borders were also on!

Cutie Patootie shoo fly blocks:

One thing that has become very popular with quilters are the "No cutting" quilt kits - everything is already cut out and ready to sew together at retreat.

Instant quilt, just add thread!

This one is from the Quilt Kit Co. It's called Sea Glass.

And also a Halloween trick or treat bag for a grandchild!

Lemme guess - Jack's Chain just beginning?

Hamilton Gardens blocks are increasing in number!

What a fun way to use up small scraps!

More blocks for a Quilt of Valor!

It's a Nancy Martin pattern from this book!

How many hours went into this cross-stitch?

It's nearly done!

All the funky churn dashes!

Churn Dash Puzzle by Scott Flanagan. So fun!

And a quick charm square top for Project Linus.

Some little one is going to love this!

In my own studio I was interrupted by loads of this.

Silly girl!

And checking out my seams like this!

These two half-hexagons came together.

(I love the lobster print bottom left!)

But I also took a break to count my Tulip Swirl Leader & Ender blocks and pin them in sets of 10.

They come together quite quickly in between the chain stitching of other things, keeping my piecing continuous.

When I think I have enough variety to play with I'll start sewing them in 4s again.

I'm probably the LAST person to finish up this quilt, but it usually takes me until after the new year to get it done.  I just keep reminding myself, it's a Leader & Ender project, it's not a race.

But looking at what I have also lets me know where I might be a bit short on some colors to balance everything (don't want too much green, etc.) and I can cut more for the next bit of sewing.

Since the kite blocks have Y seams, I can't use Leaders & Enders until I'm starting to sew the assembled triangles together and building rows from the half-hexagons. But we are getting there.

I just need 2 more half-hexagons and I'll have enough to assemble the next row.

Again. Not a race.  But why does it feel like it?

She doesn't really pose for photos, but Tula has claimed the top of the couch as her preferred spot to watch over everything through her one eye.

Today: I have had a request to hike up the Appalachian Trail in search of ponies. We looked at the weather app and today looks like a wonderful day for a hike. We are heading out by 10:30 this morning so I better get a move on.

I hope everyone had a wonderful productive weekend, no matter what you got up to!

We are off like a firecracker with our Festival PDF pattern release and Gift-Away!

I am so anxious to see what you do with this one. Whatever colors and fabrics you choose.

Did you get your entry in on the Gift-Away post?

I'll be drawing for 2 winners who will each receive a Festival PDF pattern from me AND a Facets of Yellow color roll from our friends at  Cotton to Quilts!
