Bitter Bees Over The Porch Rail!

Take a look at this fabulous group of quilty folk, displaying their creativity all along this porch rail!

The quilts and projects were many - some finishes from the last couple of years of retreats, some made at home and brought to cover beds while sleeping.

(I love walking through the house and seeing the array of beautiful quilts brought to put on the bed - it's a quilt show all its own!)

Scrappy Mountain Majesties from our retreat workshop -

It has come a long way from a stack of fabric squares at the beginning of retreat!

Trip around the world, Log cabin, and an eagle wall hanging for a challenge!

Beautiful quilts, ladies!

Split Nine-Patch and Strip Twist, both in blue!

Pattens from the Free Patterns tab.

The Friendship Star quilt on the left is a signature quilt - I was honored to sign a block! I'm not sure of the pattern on the right - if you know, please leave it in the comments section below if no one else has named it.  Thank you!

On Ringo Lake, Scrappy Mountain Majesties workshop finish, and a Spanish Rose finish from last year's workshop!

And look - they are even color coordinated along with being talented!

It was a marvelous week, and I can't wait to see them back here next year.

If you are from O-H-I-O you know what these poses are!

Yesterday was of course, full of laundry and resetting the retreat to welcome our next guests arriving Wednesday afternoon.  And look at the dogwood blooming now!

Our apple trees are laden with blossoms - it smells so sweet!

And the hum of busy bees can be felt as well as heard.

Hazel couldn't be bothered to care.

I spent the majority of my day in between flipping loads of laundry at my desk putting the finishing touches on Open Window in preparation for Thursday's pattern release and gift-away!

Then there was the run to town for groceries because we really were out of everything. I mean EVERYTHING.

It was 8pm by the time I settled in to perhaps get some binding stitches in...

Lola had other ideas! LOL!!

At any rate, I managed to turn a corner and I am loving how everything is looking.

As to our current calendar for those asking about pattern releases:

April: Open Window

May: Crackers & Jam

June: String Rings

July: Sunnyside

Also in July: NEW Leader & Ender project!

August: Hello, Gretchen

At least that's how I'm thinking how things are going to go.

Quiltville Quote of the Day -

That's the best part of going scrappy!

If you run out of one something, you just reach in and throw in another something.

Have a terrific Tuesday, everyone!
