At the heart of every Bavarian village stands the church.
He threw the ax with the vow, that where it landed he would build a church. When he found the ax after three days he built the church at this site on a rocky hill next to the lake.
The lake as we were driving around it to get to St. Wolfgang.
Sign outside of the church.
While I didn't do any filming inside the church (Because I was told not to!) I did find a video of St. Wolfgang in summer - and inside the church is included, starting at about minute 26:00.
Our winter view was a bit different, but the winding streets and Christmas Market vendors were full of magical items.
Yes, there was a cappuccino and a chocolate filled donut stop!
I'll save the de-papering for tonight. As for now - I've got more desk work to catch up on and I'd like all of that out of the way before Patty gets here.
And it's time for me to head next door to feed the kitties.
Quiltville Quote of the Day -

So charming!
Winding our way down to the shore to see the big advent candle.
Can you see how steep these streets are?
Yes, the sun was "almost" out, and there was a ferry going across to the next village - postcard pretty!
But baby, it was cold outside!
Beautiful resting place facing the lake and the mountains beyond.
I would love to see this side of Bavaria in the summer months - but going during Christmas Market time is pretty special too!
Yesterday's piecing haul.
My body clock is slowly adjusting though today I was up extra early.
Son Jeff is taking Hubster Dave for his follow up wrist surgery. He's developed some scar tissue from the surgery he had in March, and this should make everything better.
He needed to be to Hickory NC by 7:45 am. I can't drive in the dark, so Jeff stayed the night to take him.
AND...because we have the added addition of a frozen drive that the van can't handle, and because I can't drive in the dark, Jeff drove me in the van to the QPO studio, along with hubster Dave leading the way in the Subaru. They dropped me and the van at the QPO just before 6am and headed that way.
I'm awaiting the arrival of Patty the long arm fixer somewhere around 1:30pm today.
It's currently 28f with a high of 31f expected so I don't think that drive will be thawing out anytime soon.
I took some early morning time to finish trimming these up.
That kitty in the middle is an accidental fussy cut! So cute!
The creative process is so very important to us all.
Creativity also heals my soul when I am hurting or worried or otherwise out of sorts.
It puts my world back in balance!
Part Four of Lupine & Laughter is coming at you tomorrow!
Have a terrific Thursday, everyone -

A day with no creativity is a day lost in my world. Thanks for writing that. I feel the same way.
