In Spite of Wind!

THIS is what greeted me when I stepped out of the back kitchen door at the inn to feed two hungry cats.

Furniture sculpture?

Remember when I said I was leaving them that way because they kept the wind from blowing the rug off the porch?

I wasn't kidding!

And that's not all....

I wish I had been there to see THIS happening.  Somehow the wind was so fierce it lifted the cover right off of the grill and blew it several feet away where it landed in a puddle and luckily stayed there.

I expect this kind of weather in March of April, but not over a Memorial Day holiday weekend!

Hopefully today will be better.  Still cool, but I'm hoping I can get a few brave ones to step away from their machines for a bit and come for a road hike with me.

We shall see!

Gorgeous things are happening!

This art landscape is taking shape - I can't wait to see what it becomes.

More bear paw blocks are being added.  I believe turquoise is the next combo up.

Pattern info found in THIS POST.

A Jelly Roll race took place and instead a jelly roll, a panel and some yardage was used.  This will be a great couch size for a good snuggle.

Oopsie Daisie is growing on this design wall!

I love these!

Vintage Friendship Stars in red!

It's a PDF pattern by Fig Tree & Co found HERE.

More going on in Gwen's corner!

And  a finished top!

And these three solar powered moving little do-lollies danced for joy!

Sometimes a simple nine-patch is a great way to use up a collection of mini-charms.

I love how the fuscia color is popping up here and there.  It reminds me of...

How this little rhodie is beginning to bloom off the side porch where son Jeff is doing some landscaping with the saved paver stones from the wall that was taken out by Hurricane Helene last September.

And yes, this is still going on in my world.

I only need a 150 more or so.

Yup.  But it's going to be worth it!

And check out this awesome Licorice Twist finish posted to our Quiltville’s Open Studio group by Tenley!

I do too!  Great job!

Your sewing is so precise, I guess we shouldn't be surprised about the accuracy of your final quotes.

Great pictures and quilts. The quilt you have the quote on is the same pattern of a quilt that I have that my grandmother made. I would love to replicate it, I have started. The optimum word here is started. LOL
