Strings, A Request & London Photos!

Mail order is now caught up!  How wonderful is that?

After being gone for 11 days and coming home to a whole lot of "Gotta tackle this" I was finally able to breathe and slow down yesterday afternoon.

That is my main objective over the next 4 weeks before I leave for Australia.

Slow down.  Find peace.  Find joy in little things.

Do you feel that way as the year draws to a close?  The desire to just SLOW DOWN?

Remember this project?  This happened sometime before Thanksgiving.  It feels like months ago!

Last evening Hubster Dave went out to join his man-buds for an evening of fun cornhole playing which left me home alone (For the first time in I don't know how long?!)

I lit a candle to make the studio smell like Christmas pine.  I put music on my soundbar.

I got out my ruler and rotary cut all of the string panels I'd pieced into the triangles I need for this string project that is now front and center for my "Sew At Home Time"

And then I grabbed the whole she-bang and headed up to the couch where I put my feet up and depapered them all while watching a documentary on Netflix.

Yes, Home Alone time means I get to watch what *I* want to watch.  It's the small joys, right?

What you see here are just a few of the strings left after I cut for my own Old Town quilt.
I have been asked by so many readers "What can I do to thank you for the free projects and fun you provide to us every year?"
If you want to do a little something while you've got your Old Town aquas out -
I am in need of aqua strings!  I don't have a lot of variety left after finishing my Huka Falls quilt. (Which is releasing as a PDF pattern next month!)
I used up all of my variety of aqua between Huka Falls and Old Town and the aqua hexies on my ongoing hexie quilt (Which were not strings, but came from FQs and such)
Would you, could you - if you feel so inclined - Send me a string/strip of the aqua you are using in your Old Town quilt?  Minimum width is 1'' but I can use anything above that and they don't need to be straight cut.
Simply put a strip in an envelope, put a stamp on it and mail it to me at:

Yes, I know what happened when I asked for grey strings a few years back - but bring it on! LOL!

We really lucked out on our second day - there was blue sky and a bit of sunshine in the morning and the temps were not that bad - 

Our inside tour of Westminster Abbey would happen the next day - but for now, we were out and about with our London guide giving us a bit of a history lesson.  She was phenomenal! I could listen to her forever.

My brother got him a digital photo frame last year for Christmas and we can send photos directly to his frame so that's what I was doing every day.
