We don't get late October weather like this every year -
And truly, I think it has got to be a makeup gift for what Helene did around here.
It's been glorious for a couple of weeks now. "So sorry we dumped on you, here's some sunshine!"
We'll take it!
It was the perfect weather to put on quite the over-the-porch-rail quilt viewing for all of the passers by!
From big medallion to little medallion!
For Christmas quilts and Indigo Way finishes.
For log cabins made with beautiful Liberty lawn fabrics, and a fabulously pieced Judy Niemeyer show stopper.
Here it is full out! That border! Oh, my!
For charm packs on point and Christmas trees in the making.
Add in a Virginia bound from Scraps & Shirttails and a Plaidish in pinks -
A sampler for a friend, and Moth in the Window from my Addicted to Scraps book.
Another medallion finish - beautiful!
And everyone with the quilt retreat panel quilts they all made together - so much fun! (And what happens at quilt retreat - Stays at quilt retreat!)
Even Tula Tallulah Lou was out there in the side yard with us just being a part of everything that was going on. She loves to be in the middle of everything, supervisor that she is.
Thanks again, Brown Bird Bee ladies - it was a fabulous retreta and I am so happy you are coming back next year for a repeat performance!
Final selfie moment -
Me, resting while the laundry spins -
And today we start it all over again with the arrival of the October Quiltvillians arriving this afternoon.
There are only THREE retreats left in the 2024 season! How can this year go flying by so fast?
And there is so much to get done before Halloween hits - one week from tomorrow!
Are you getting excited about this year's Quiltville Winter Mystery? I am!
I want to thank everyone for the response to yesterday's Ladder Star Gift-Away!
I'll be drawing for two winners who will each receive a Ladder Star PDF pattern from me, and a Crème de la crème neutrals roll from Cotton to Quilts.
These beautiful ivory shades will blend wonderfully with your plaids and scrap fabrics to make Ladder Star your own.
And check out the other fabric rolls they have in stock as well - there are 20 fabrics in each roll, each piece measures approximately 8 1/2'' X 22''. Great for building variety.
Introductory Pricing: I have placed Ladder Star at 25% off. No coupon code needed. Price is good through 10/31/24.
Stars and Scraps were meant for each other! Create this stunning star quilt in scrappy plaids from recycled shirts or with your own stash yardage. Piecing options, full color photos and graphics and many tips for easy piecing pleasure included.

Quiltville Quote of the Day -
This was my day yesterday - 12 loads of retreat laundry and all of it rewarding!
Even the missing pillow cases that find themselves eventually in the corners of fitted sheets.
Now, if only I could find the missing socks -
Have a wonderful Wednesday, everyone!
Wow! Over the rails quilts are fantastic. So impressive. Great job quilters.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad the Weather Gods sent you an apology for the TERRIBLE weather storm earlier, by sending you such beautiful weather which all retreaters were able to enjoy. Looks like a super fun retreat. I for one, certainly enjoyed their stunning quilt show and smiles.
ReplyDeleteLove love your posts. And all those delicious quilts!! Thank you for all you do for the scrappy quilters like me. Have a blessed day. (I do want to know where you got those lovely pink shoes though?!!)
ReplyDeleteLovely over the porch railing show......my favorite was the Moth in the Window. Love that quilt.
ReplyDeleteNice weather here too..but today is the last day of the warm weather. Then a cold front moves in.
Have a Sparkling day
I'm loving your quotes recently. Early morning giggle! The Judy Niemeyer quilt is fabulous, and Plaidish is on my list. Many neat medallions this week too. Love the quilts on the rail days! Today is cut Christmas fabrics day.
ReplyDeleteFabulous! I love seeing everyone's beautiful quilts hanging over the porch rail. Fills me up with "gotta go sew" vibes! Happy Wednesday everyone, Jenny
ReplyDeleteThe socks have run off with the Tupperware lids!
ReplyDeleteWish your quote picture had a laugh button! Have an excellent day!
ReplyDeleteYay!! Great quilts this week ladies! I'm glad the weather Gods smiled on you today! I am looking forward to the release of the mystery! Enjoy the new group! :)
ReplyDeleteYour blog posts are always interesting and I look for thm! Socks are elusive, when my daughter was away at boarding school, her panties and sock all had to go into a mesh bag. The girls called it a 'jag bag'.
