You can tell the quilters right off, the luggage for hauling their machines is far more expensive than the luggage hauling their clothes! :-)
We quilters have our priorities set straight!
The setup of the sewing stations has begun, and groups of ladies are running off to grab lunch before doing some heavy sewing for the rest of the day.
For me? Sewing this afternoon, dinner, and then a trunk show tonight followed by more sewing into the late hours!
The snack table is already bursting at it seams!
There is a little bit of snow left from last week storm, but by the end of the weekend the early November sunshine will have melted it all away.
Is there anything prettier than tall trees blue skies and the skiff of white snow reflecting the light? :-)
Shampoo.. lol You crack me up. At first, I thought... she forgot her shampoo. You mean SHAMOU . lol

ReplyDeleteToo funny the Shampoo thing. oh well . snow is wonderful and looks like a great place to be. we get so little in NETexas that when we do it's a real event. great except for the power outages. there is always handwork if you can find enough light to see. Know you will be having a wonderful time.

DeleteEnjoy your retreat! I've never heard of this state park an I live on the KY/WV border, had to Google it and it is about 3 hours away....hmmmm...go figure, learn something new everyday! :)

DeleteI spent a weekend at Pipestem several years ago. I live in the tri-state area of KY, OH, and WV. It was just a trip down the WV turnpike.
I need to keep an eye on Bonnie's schedule, Hawks Nest was even closer than Pipestem.
I had to check Google Maps for the location of Pipestem - not anywhere near my old stomping grounds (the Ashlahd/Ironton/Huntington "tristate" area). I've never been there but all of WV is beautiful in my eyes. Have a great time

ReplyDeleteWe are having panic buying problems up here in Poughkeepsie, people are lined up all over to fill their tanks for fear they won't be able to get any when they need it.

Sounds like the gas crisis of the early 1970's-lines miles long at gas stations-think there was an oil embargo back then. We would go at 2 AM so we didn't have to sit in line for hours-the ex hated to have to wait and I did not like to have to wait with an impatient person. I am sure there is enough to go around and everyone will have just looked kind of stupid-again.
