Mail Squishies!!
Ooooh! Lookie Lookie!!
Carol from Dallas sent me a squishy with 12 different plaids! They are GORGEOUS!! Just what I needed to cheer me up and give me a fabric fondling moment away from the computer and pattern writing...AHHHHHH!
Thanks Carol, you made my day!

This is Carol from Dallas. The plaids are from Myanmar (Burma), bought in a market in northern Thailand in March. The men in Myanmar wear wraparound skirts made from these plaids. The women wear skirts with larger patterns. I thought these plaids would be perfect for Smokey Mountain Stars!
ReplyDeleteOk, I'm trying again! Not that tech-savvy. This is Carol from Dallas. Just wanted you to know that the plaids I sent were from Burma (Myanmar). I bought them in a market in Northern Thailand in March. Thought they would be great for the Smokey Mountain Stars quilt. They come in two-meter lengths, sewn together into wraparound skirts, worm by the men! Women's skirts have larger patterns. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteSquishie's hmmmm.... can't say that I've heard them called that b/4! LoL.... cute!
ReplyDeleteOooo...I can't wait to see what you do with them!
ReplyDeleteHmmmm, never heard that before either! Squishes! Have to remember that :) what size are they then? What a great gift to get in the mail. Will have to remember to send some fabric out to friends as a package of cheer. Great idea.
ReplyDeleteThanks ! Have a great day.
Hugs Marg.
