Mystery Monday Link-Up, Part 3!

Happy Mystery Monday Link-Up, Part 3 everyone!

Three clues down, how many to go?
We shall see!

I have to tell you that I have loved this whole Allietare experience with you so far.  I hope you have too.  I've tried my best to break down the parts so that they were easily doable in between busy lives and hectic holiday preparation.

I don't want ANYONE to feel that they have been left behind if they are unable to fit any of the weekly clues into their busy lives.

Quilting is something we do around the edges of our lives, and for many of you who work, who have small children or grandchildren or elderly parents to look after, finding personal sewing time can be difficult.

I also have heard from many of you with emails of thanks --thanking me for giving you a place to put your positive focus, and the time spent sewing, a little bit here, a little bit there has been a gift to keep you centered while the world spins out of control around you.

As things ramp up for Christmas, and more time needs to be spent with Family, Food, Fun, and Festive Frivolity, do NOT worry about the mystery.  It will be here when you get back.  Do not make the mystery your main focus --it's just the icing on the cake.

But do, if you can, a few of each week's clues until your life is back under control so you know how things fit together when we have our reveal, and you will catch up in no time because you will have had experience with each unit.
Remember you can access all of the other Link-Ups and parts by clicking the Allietare Mystery tab at the top of the blog.

So let's share where you are with part 3!
Hooray for gold & neutral 4 patches!
Here are Susan Hillock's units.  She writes:
Loved the tip from Bonnie to sew these squares with the seam towards the needle, they matched perfectly! Thanks Bonnie! Clue #3 is complete!

Mary Enge has been busy with her parts as well!  I love her collage from our Quiltville's Open Studio Facebook group showing all 3 parts she has completed!  Way to go, Mary!
She says:
Loving all the scrappy golds I've seen, almost changed mine but do love the rich color of this gold and how well it plays with my other colors. Clue #3 complete.
So how are YOU coming with yours?  Let's link up and share!

But before we do, I want to explain something about the linky. FIRST OF ALL -- THANK YOU!  Thank you for understanding my cry of frustration with incomplete link-ups that didn't  link back to the Link-Up page.  We need a complete circle.  Your link is here on MY page, so MY link needs to be there on your page or photo as well.

So be sure when you are filling in your information below that you
Include a URL to your specific post or photo, not just your main blog or profile address.  We need the address of the page where your photo and post is, not the whole account.

For those who don’t understand HOW to find the URL of any given post PLEASE read this linky tutorial before you link up again.

If you don’t know how to link it so it is clickable in your blog post, don’t worry about it. Just copy and paste the URL into your text.

For an example of a blog post including a link back, click HERE.

For a Pinterest post including a link back, click HERE.

For an Instagram post including a link back, click HERE.

For a Flickr post including a link back, click HERE.

If you have linked to my main blog address http://quiltville.blogspot.com that also needs to be changed to the URL for this week’s linky page. Please check your post or photo and make sure you have the right link. Please do not just link to the allietare mystery tab either – because that tab is going away when the mystery is done, and then you will also be another dead end street.

The linky pages will be alive FOREVER in the archives, Your link will stay there so people can find you, please link correctly to my post so people can find me and the others who have shared their links as well.

Include this link IN your post or photo description: http://quiltville.blogspot.com/2015/12/mystery-monday-link-up-part-3.html

There, I think we've got it now!  Just remember, if you do not include a URL to your specific post, and/or if you do not include a link back to THIS PAGE in your entry, I will have to remove you because you break the circle.

The ONLY time you do not need to worry about any of this is if I am using the Linky for a GIVE-AWAY!  Like the one we have going on right now!

With a Giveaway you only need to leave your name and your email address so I can reach you if you are drawn.  You do not have to have a blog, Pinterest, Instagram, Google+ or Flickr to enter.  Just a name and an email address.

Some were Confused on that, and may have missed their opportunity to participate in our current give-away!  There is still time to enter.

The drawing for the 13 winners for the Still Stitching Video is TOMORROW EVENING!  So head on over to THAT POST and click the blue ADD YOUR LINK button at the bottom of the page.  Put in your name and your email address in the little form that pops up.  That's all there is to it.  No one else can see your email address but me, your info is safe that way, and that is why we will be using the linky in the future for ALL giveaways.  Got it?  Go do it!

Remember to enter the giveaway on the correct page, NOT this Mystery Monday Link-Up page!

  1. That was so exciting to see my picture on your blog post, thanks for sharing! :) I have to say this was the best result I have EVER had matching up seams, out of the 130 I made, I only had to fix 6 of them. Even better...NO TRIMMING! One little tip made my night...oh, and the Patriots won. HAPPY GIRL HERE!! Thanks again Bonnie for all that you share with us! Merry Christmas!

  2. I couldn't sleep, I was so excited to share my Link today. With the easy clues I still had time to play with my other projects and the Secrets for Christmas. The Mystery gives me something I can post on the Blog, since I don't share the gifts I'm making. It' so fun to see the guesses on a Block layout. I'm not guessing much. Just keep stitching, one part at a time. We'll be getting together at the LQS for Clue 4 stitching next Saturday.

Just love to see the progress everyone is making on the mystery quilt. I am working on my Pfeffernusse quilt which I started in Bonnie's class at Quilt Odyssey quite a while ago. Bonnie, could you tell us the story of how you found Sadie and something about her. I love your posts with her in them. Her face is so expressive.

  6. This mystery is great...just the right amount to actually get each clue done before the next one and enjoy the season, too. Thank you, Bonnie. You have pulled it off again!
