I just opened your sweet little envelope and found these lovely spool pin doilies included inside!
I am SO thrilled with these…they are beautiful!
I’m posting this to the blog because your card didn’t include your email address for me to get back to you-
And to ask a favor! If you can email me the patterns for these lovelies, I’d be happy to host them here on the blog so that other vintage-machine-loving-quilters can crochet some too!
Would you, could you, please share your pattern with me?
Thank you SEW MUCH!!
Please show us how these pretty doilies are used. What a nice gift you received!!
ReplyDeleteI'm with Judy....I've never heard of a spool pin. Can you show us how they are used?
ReplyDeleteThey would be used like the little felt circles that you put on the spool post underneath your spool of thread. They're crocheted with crochet thread instead of yarn. I'm thinking about making some in red to go on my Featherweights!!
DeleteThese would be adorable on a vintage machine!!! I'm thrilled she's asked for the pattern. I'd love to make some of them. Thanks, Bonnie!
I'd would love to be able to BUY some!
ReplyDeleteWhat a delightful treat to receive such a special gift.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful gift for you. They are sew pretty. Sew glad you asked for the pattern as I would like to make some.
ReplyDeletethey look crocheted to me.
ReplyDeleteThey are crocheted. The last time my friend drove up and stayed a few days, she made me 7 in beautiful variegated thread. Now each one of my Featherweights and treadles have a spool pin doily.

Are they the same spool pattern as before? Such a sweet gift! Bonnie, I'm so very happy for you and your beautiful cabin--I know the Brewers are feeling really good about leaving their home to people that will love it as much as they have. Thanks for sharing the pretty woods--reminds me of when I was a kid in Kansas City, MO. We had so much fun playing in the woods!
ReplyDeleteYou are definitely blessed! I wish I knew someone who crocheted so I could talk them into make me a few. I guess I will have to break down and learn how to crochet myself ...
ReplyDeleteI just love them. Guess if you post, I'll make me some.
ReplyDeleteThe doilies are soooooooooooo easy to make!! I made 7 golden yellow ones while hubby was playing music in a park!! Nice quiet work for when no noise is necessary. Not sure where I got the pattern, but have had it for nearly a year now. They are fun and quick!!
ReplyDeleteYes, so glad you asked for the pattern, as I'd be interested in making some. What a wonderful, thoughtful gift
ReplyDeleteMe too!! Another Judy from Michigan!!
