And it could be all of the above, but I’ve been laying low today because I am headed to MAINE tomorrow and NOTHING is going to stop me!
I just grabbed these two quilt tops to get some photos before the rain started to fall again….in between the intermittent mist that has been falling all day.
I turned around to find that SOMEONE ((EMMY LOU!)) had been sleeping on TOP of the folded quilt tops!
Okay…so they are a bit wrinkly, but here they are:
Ehhhh…that will quilt out! LOL!
Borders are next, but they are going to have to wait until I return…..
In the mean time, there is tea. And an early night to bed. I’ll be leaving the house at 4:45am for that dreaded 6:00am flight back to Newark New Jersey on my way up to Portland, Maine!
You know you travel a lot when you start to know the folks that work the airport kiosks by face and by NAME!
I was going to try to do Quilt-Cam tonight, but I am going to save my voice and save my throat and get to bed early.
We will catch you on the rebound!
Take gargle and some mucinex I think you are getting this stuff that is going around. Mine ended with a cough.
ReplyDeleteYes! Mucinex is like magic! Cures almost everything overnight! Hope you have a great time in Maine, Bonnie! I wish I was there to see you.....we're in Wyoming, on our way back east, and stuck with closed highways due to snow! Have fun.....my friend Pat will be at your lecture! Woot!
ReplyDeleteFirst don't get sick...get well quick!
ReplyDeleteSecond...LOVE the quilts! I really like the green sashing, blue is fun too...but the green is my favorite. Can't wait to see them finished up. I have been making 9 patches all week while sewing! Travel safe!
Airborne always works for me...a couple times a day. I like the Grapefruit flavor. Hope you feel better quick!
ReplyDeletegood plan. love the baby quilts. Travel safe.
ReplyDeleteTake care and rest tonight...maybe you can catch some more zzzz's on the flight? Hope so...love those baby quilts..I like the blue sashing a lot! best Julierose
ReplyDeleteLove the quilts..... I get the nine patch part, but how did you border them? Don't get sick! I hope you feel better tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteOh, boy. Get some rest and shake it off. Nothing worse than having to work when sick. Quilts look great!
ReplyDeleteLove the baby quilts! They are beautiful. My grandmother used to vicks the bottoms of our feet, the first sign of scratchy throat. Safe travels.
ReplyDeletequilts are great...love the idea of the same pattern in a different colorway. It is amazing what difference that makes!!!
ReplyDeleteI am eating chocolate ice cream with homemade red raspberry jam...yummy!
Today I bound all five of my baby quilts for newest great grandson due in June.
Now I can relax.
XOXOOX Subee
safe journey...hope that tickle goes away. I swear it is the air plane air that is so dry and irritating!
I love the baby quilts! Really, really cute!!!
ReplyDeleteSafe travels to Maine - have a fun trip!
You rest up, Bonnie, as we are so excited to see you in Maine!
ReplyDeleteSafe travels, I hope you wake up feeling 100% and have a
ReplyDeleteproductive time while waiting to fly here there and everywhere :0)
Happy Sewing
Newark should give you a frequent-flyer discount on coffee, snacks and assorted stuff when you pass through there. LOL
ReplyDeleteYour baby quilts are adorable. And here is my cure for a tickly throat - Peachtree Schnapps over ice. Sip it slowly. Works every time - or else I just don't care if my throat is still scratchy after I've had a glass!! ;-) My theory for why it works is this - if you use alcohol on a cut on your outside to kill the germs, then using alcohol to kill the germs on your inside must work too! Feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteHiya Bonnie, the two quilt tops look fine! They are definitely a set, yet different from each other. I hope you awaken refreshed and well for your second jaunt to New England. you are such a trooper!
ReplyDeletePraying for an overnight recovery. Ricola's really soothe my throat when it's feeling irritated. Travel safe! Your baby quilts are lovely! I foresee many snugs and baby cuddles in their future!
ReplyDeleteAt one point in my career, I traveled to Baltimore frequently. I knew the hotel concierge by name as well as his son's name and all about his football team. I knew the best "local" places to eat. Yep, there is a time when it feels like you've been traveling too much.
ReplyDeleteTravel Safe, Save your Voice. I think my Bow tie 9-patches are going to get this sashing on two sides. Then I'll have Dancing Bow Ties.
ReplyDeleteOooh I love that idea! I have a couple hundred bow ties made and waiting in baggies until I decide what to make with them. I'd love to see an in-progress pic if you have one.
DeleteThe green sashed is my favorite...as far as the ill feelings...drink lots of fluids to help flush away any infection.

Oh that's too bad that you're under the weather, hopefully you're better in the morning, have a safe flight and take care of yourself. Hugs

So sorry you are feeling a little under the weather. You did a lovely job on the baby quilts. Can't wait to see what you decide to use for the border! Have a safe trip tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better soon Bonnie. The quilt tops look great. I have to make a baby quilt for someone and I cannot decide between this one or your little monkey pattern. Safe xx

ReplyDeleteLike what you dig with the nine patches. I have a huge stack of them I made as leader/ender. Hope you nipped the sore throat in time. Spring is my favorite, but respiratory challenges come with it for me.
ReplyDeleteDo you get Olive Leaf Extract in the US Bonnie? It is fantastic if you whip into it at the very first sign of a cold. Works every time for me (with a vitamin C for good measure)
