It’s been a putzy day. And even though the elephant has moved off my chest, the throat is too sore and the voice too gone to be able to go spend friend time the way I wanted this week! I had to beg out with a friend and cancel a little side trip that I’d been looking forward to. Just color me BUMMED!

But even when a bit under the weather, life goes on…and hopefully there will be a next time. Today I tackled monotonous things like clearing all office areas of paper clutter, getting caught up on contracts, calendar and book orders --- There were some that were supposed to go out yesterday, ((Thanks to Monday being a holiday here)) but with the visit to the doc and the pharmacy and how I felt…I’m a day later than I thought I would be. But they are done.

I also booked my flights for Maine and New Mexico in October! What great months to visit these two places that I’ve never really explored. I’ve DEFINITELY never been to Maine. And the only time I was ever in New Mexico was when we were moving from Idaho to Texas. All I remember is brown everything. And I remember the view from the Albuquerque airport terminal when flying to Phoenix. More brown. But this time I’ll get to go OUT of the airport and actually spend time in Albuquerque and Santa Fe! And I’ll be ALL OVER Maine..I’m flying into Portland and driving to Rangeley and back.

What else? Oh! Get this…..I got an email from MARY JO’s today!

Is that cool or what?! So what I want to know is…how MANY of you caused this run on the tangerine prairie cloth after my post last night? LOL!! And just how MUCH did you buy? Fess up! We want to know how many hoarders are amongst us! And no…I didn’t offer up ANY of mine for trading or purchase to others either. It’s MINE. And I’m keeping it! ;c)

I’ve been trying to be good, I really have. I sat my monkey butt on the couch last evening and stitched the first big fill in section to the bottom left of the hexie quilt…LOOK!

It’s on there! And my counting and graphing actually came out right! I was so nervous I’d be one row off or something…like buttoning a shirt wrong. But it fit!

Three more sides to go and I can consider the piecing part DONE! I’ll be starting the next fill in section on my way to Wichita on Saturday. ((You hear me sore throat and ears? You will be GONE by then…GO ALREADY!!))

Now tell me something…am I absolutely out of my mind to think that those large neutral areas could use some viney applique??
