Fun Sharing!
Rhonda B from over at Doxies On My
Quilt sent me two pics of quilts she's completed! I love the show and tell in my inbox! I've saved all the pictures and I need to spend some time uploading them to the pages they belong on, in the gallery section of the quilt instruction page itself...
But in the mean time, they are here for your inspiration! I love it when someone has a vision for my designs that I couldn't think of myself. Just look at these colors and fabrics!
The first one is her Boxy Stars...just look at that border print! Isn't it great? The second one is her version of Orange Crush, and she set the blocks straight instead of on point. Doesn't it do fun things to the layout that way? I love the 1930's prints and colors she used and the bunny that matches it! Thanks for sharing Rhonda!

what great versions of your quilts, it must be fun for you. A thought about "scrap" quilts. I think that it makes the quilts timeless, they will never go "out of style". Your quilts just wouldn't be the same if you made them out of a collection or all new fabric. I'm inspired by your quilts and want to try one soon.....maybe a fungly or Tobacco Road mystery...looks fun
ReplyDeleteWonderful version of Boxy Stars! I love colours used and the perfect border fabric. Bravo Rhonda!

What nice quilts Bonnie. I just love the Orange Crush done this way also with all the light colors. I'm still not done piecing mine together, but I'm going to a 'sewing hen party' tomorrow and we are asked to bring something we're working on. My O.C. is coming with me. What's held me up is trying to make up my mind about the border. Do I want to piece any more blocks or do I want to just put a plain border. Still not sure.Ummmmmmmm.....it's a connundrum! Hopefully I will get some good input tomorrow.
