My Blue Heaven Pattern

Hello to everyone out there in Quiltville!

I'm writing to let you know that I have just added a new pattern to my website! (Those of you who have been with me for a while know how long it took me to get this together!)

"My Blue Heaven" is a two-block quilt! A modified puss in the corner block, and an hour glass star block, both in 8" finished size. All from 2.5" blue and neutral scrap strips! You can make this quilt as big or small as you would like depending on the number of blocks you make. This quilt uses 45 star blocks and 45 puss blocks and has a pieced hourglass unit border. Finished size as shown is approx 81X89.

It would be great in any color combination. Mine is in blue/neutral. I'd love to see what you come up with as you dig into your scrap strips and try your own version of a 2-block 2-color quilt! I can really see this one in brights, or in red/neutral. It would be great!

You can find the pattern HERE

It is a very lovely quilt. I like the jeansy look. Maybe I'll try the pattern after I finish the basket weave strings I'm currently making and the braids I'd like to try.

It is a beautiful quilt Bonnie. Yet another temptation for me to start yet another quilt.

The blues and creams colours make this quilt stunning. Great job with the pattern.

I have been using the easy angle at the beginning and end of my companion angle cuts for years, and when I would tell or show someone they would look at me like I was a genius or a lunatic. It is good to see you are a genius (or lunatic) also, Bonnie!

Another stunner, Bon-bon. Does the cat come with it? ;) I have it printed out. I'm thinking a smaller version would make a grand baby quilt.

Good on ya, girl.

It's great! I will definitely try this one after I finish up my bin of strings... your color combination reminds me of sand and sea.

Oh I did so love this quilt when you were first working on it and still love it. I really wanted to try this one in red/tan but I've robbed my stash/strip bins of reds with several red/white projects lately that I don't have the variety I need. Guess I'll have to try another color. Maybe green/beige.....

BTW, welcome to the Stashbuster ring. :-)

Bonnie, I've always loved brown and blue together --- and your quilt is a delightful combination of the two! I enjoyed reading all the instructions and illustrations. Thank you!
