All On A Monday Morning -

This post comes with a warning - "Beware of Sheep!"

We had a grand start to our day as our on-the-bus time was scheduled for 11am meaning there was a time to walk around our area of Galway after breakfast.

It seems that there was a miscommunication with our workshop room (we have two back to back groups and that sometimes can happen. No worries!) so this turned into a bonus morning with time to walk the promenade.

Such a beautiful morning!

And yes - there were folks swimming in the 64 degree water.

Good on them! (But count me out! LOL!)

Cheesy selfie with my walking buddies!

Life is grand!

Colorful shops on our walkabout.

And while it looks like rain - it didn't happen until dinner time.

Highlight! Church windows!

We stopped at a church to admire the stained glass from inside, and I was approached right away by a quilter on a different tour who recognized the sound of my voice and came running to say hello and take a photo. So nice to meet you, thanks for making my day!

She told us that there was a quilt inside the sanctuary, so of course we had to check it out -

Little amusement park down from our hotel.

And flowers are blooming everywhere!

There is a lovely garden with a beautiful walking path next to our hotel, and a friendly dog walker offered to take a photo of the four of us on the bridge.

Scenes from my bus window:

Mountains!

And beautiful wildflowers!

And did I mention the sheep warning???

These little wooly demons!

We stopped our bus for some photo opportunities and to check out the peat cutting - and wouldn't you know it there was a "feed the sheep" station.

I am such an animal lover I was more interested in the sheep than the view at the time.  LOL!

Because one can not have enough photos of sheep!

Hello, sweetheart!

They all want sheep snacks!

This one is one to watch out for -

That crooket horn -

Try to feed the wee ones and he/she will butt them right out of the way!

Yes, you.  I'm talking about you!

Check out the little one's wee nubs!

Baaaaaaa!  We want more!

Eventually I did leave the sheep and head across the road to check out the peat.

Cut and dried and dried some more - peat is used as fuel for cooking and heating as it has for centuries.

Nature's presto-logs?

Oh my word.  The reflections were gorgeous!

And the benefit of waiting? Everyone else was heading over to check out the sheep while I came over to an empty lakeside.

Gah!  This beauty!

More sheep down by the water -

And one more farewell before we make our way to Kylemore Abbey!

And yes, more to come.  Without sheep.

But there may be pigs up next.  LOL!

Have a wonderful Tuesday, everyone!
