Most of the webbing of the top and the assembling of the rows was accomplished during quilt cam! Click HERE for the post and click the arrow on the screen to view the recorded version ---
**Side note** I didn’t notice until I was playing it back that the machine was shaking the table which was vibrating the laptop making the camera shaky as well.
OOPS! The view was pretty good though --- so what do we do about it? Maybe build a shelf for the laptop ?
Of course that will have to wait until I am back from Pennsylvania ----
Close up of the scrappy mish-mash!
I really love the odd combos of fabrics, the crazy colors, those PINK points…
And Winnie-The-Pooh!
Borders are next…
I’ve chosen a dark purple inner border and a wild pink tie-dye as the outer border!
Not a bad job for being home one day in between trips!
It's looking beautiful! I enjoyed cutting out X blocks for a hugs and kisses quilt while listening in to quilt cam. Hope your travels this week are safe and happy! You are an inspiration. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThat is SO lovely!
ReplyDeleteI love the pink points!
ReplyDeleteIt looks just lovely Bonnie! You did a great job of picking out some great colors for a Spring quilt! Have a safe trip tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the quilt cam today Bonnie, timing was great, I put together my Scrappy Mountain blocks the webbing way. Another great lesson from you. You are much appreciated!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy trails!!
Love it! What is the name of this pattern? Love love love those pink points too!
ReplyDeleteSister's Choice
DeleteJust beautiful. Will tackle this pattern sometime,I really like it and think I can handle it. Have a few other quilts in line first however, like finishing "Easy Street"! Have a great trip in PA. May try to see you when you come to IL (St. Charles).
ReplyDeleteThanks for the "heads up" about Mickey's hexie class on Craftsy. I bought it and watched it already. Can't wait to play with her design ideas. Quilt Cam was fun today, also. I worked on beading the little art quilt that will go into our show this month. It's my first attempt at an art quilt--I'm very traditional!
ReplyDeletewow. do you amaze yourSelf? it's remarkable how quickly you put a quilt together. I'm in awe.
ReplyDeleteI agree 100%!!! I am so amazed at how fast you get the sewing done Bonnie. What a joy to get to see you work.
DeleteThanks for sharing.
Love your two border choices! Those are really going to pop next to all the other pink goodness in the quilt.
ReplyDeleteReally, really pretty!~
ReplyDeleteI am SO tempted to order that big accu cutter and go to cutting up my stash. Every time I see one of your quilts, I come so close to ordering it.
My LQS owner told me to get the Accuquilt GO! (not the GO! Baby one) instead of the BIG Studio version. I did and I love it!! The Studio is SO big and bulky and heavy. The dies are backed with wood and are heavy, too. She said she would buy 2 of the GO! ones rather than the Studio one. Just a thought.
DeleteBeautiful quilt. Amazing how much you get down with all your travels, books, blogs, and especially our quiltcam sessions. Truly an inspiration to us all. Thank You so much.
ReplyDeleteI went to the North East TX T.O.G.A. today, and one lady was making your maverick stars, another lady sister's choice and I was making the Scrappy trip around the world. I'm not sure if anyone else were making any of your quilts, but thought you might like to know. One treadle, one hand crank, and vintage electric (I think a 15). Everyone else had hand cranks.
ReplyDeleteBonnie , I am loving your new sisters choice Bonnie, I am not a fan of pink usually but I really like it. Love the borders. Looking forward to catching up on quilt cam later today.
ReplyDeleteHi, Bonnie,
ReplyDeleteyesterday I saw quiltcam life at 20.00 in Germany. I am glad, that now we can look it at youtube too.
Your new Sister's Choice is deeelicous! Just right for spring! Love the scrappy mish-mash! Thanks loads for all the inspiration you give us!
ReplyDeleteI finally watched your QuiltCam and it was great to see you in action! Your quilt turned out fabulous, too. I'm using your Pineapple Blossom pattern for my granddaughter's quilt and I got to show her the blocks, which made her jump up and down! She's 8 and has taught herself how to make scrappy pillows, so I passed some good genes on! Safe travels and thank you for sharing.

ReplyDeleteIt looks lovely Bonnie, I missed Quilt Cam yesterday as my Mom was here visiting for the day, but I'll go and watch the recorded version... love that we can do that!
ReplyDeleteHave a great time in Pennsylvania, and safe travels to you also.
Gwen
oh so pretty I really hope mine turns out that nice. I am struggling with the HST's just a bit but making progress. I have 100 blocks made and using them as leader enders for each other. I am making 2 quilts at once. One is a gift for a special someone. And I hope she will love it like I do and the other is for me :C)
ReplyDeleteI am sure I sound like a broken record, but this one has been on my to be made list for a long while! I even printed out the pattern lol. I am showing some restraint and not starting it because I have plenty of Bonnie quilts in progress (but what is one more right?). I LOVE yours with the pinks!
ReplyDeleteI started my "Sisters Choice" two days ago and have at least 30 blocks done. So much fun, Bonnie. Mine are all YELLOW star points.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the inspiriation!
